  • I'm looking at the old guys that I never bought, but everything seems to be non au

  • You got the PPG synths. Older but AU.

  • The iprophet says it works in table top and to render to wav via table top... LOL no thanks.. Is it even ab compatible sheesh

Crazy rain. It’s like a challenge to pickup drivers to drive as fast and recklessly as possible.

    Gonna look into those!

  • yeah, for the number of wavetable synths out there, the best bet in Auv3 is definitely SM1 atm. Hope they get around to updating it, though. Finding the Au to be really buggy..

At least it has been updated lately!
If stagelight adds iaa support I'll probably grab nave a s well

  • Sugar Bytes have shown the way with Aparillo. Nave, Thor, Animoog; they can all be updated with AUv3 and the devs can charge existing users for access to it. A lot of people already own those apps and I for one would pay ££s to have them as AUs.

The queston is how much would you legitimately pay for those AUs? Just curious. $5? $10? More?

  • Great, big, deep synth. AU would be nice, but to be honest I've got so many of those now already I can cope with adding just one instance of Nave to the mix. My table's already full.

  • Definitely £20. Maybe £25. I’d have to think hard about £30+

But from the devs point of view, the price should depend on how much work is required to make an AU version. iSEM seems to have been done easily. Whereas DRC has been problematic for the devs.

I'm fine with one instance, deff for aum and ab but I want to use my iaa stuff in stagelight, ns2 which currently won't let me :( but stagelight is saying they hope to add it

I dnt hate iaa just everything else does lol

  • Unfortunately No auv3, but for me still top of the best wavetable synthesizer iOS

This is a good point. And also why I don't fret about the drum apps not being AUv3 either.

Hmm, yeah didn't think of that.

Yeah I'm happy with it in AUM, but @reasOne makes a good point - some hosts don't support IAA's now. For example I'm always a bit shocked when I open ApeMatrix and see how few synths I have in there. For now it's fine as I've got plenty to twiddle with when I use AUM, but maybe for future proofing an AU version would be worth considering - and it'd be nice to modulate its things in AM.

It's a magnificent synth though - I had a really deep dive into it earlier this year, and was impressed with what it's capable of.

aparillo did not start as iaa. its standalone and au only.

I know that. It’s not coding the conversion to AU I was talking about, but the In App Purchase to access the AU functionality. Making AU an IAP would help finance the conversion and make the extra work viable and worth while. Aparillo is free to try but the AU can only be accessed via IAP.

  • No AU but the sound make up for it ;)
I also hope for a future update like with animoog but seems improbable

  • I think this synth is indeed a truly wonderful thing. Shame I won't be able to use it in NS2, but I'll use it elsewhere. It's too good to be relegated to the dustbin. C'mon Waldorf ... what the heck!!!!!!!

They told me they have no plans for AU or ANY new apps.

So I think this will be it for them.

    SHAME
