What is your First app purchase of the year
For me, nave and mitosynth !

Aphelion pending...then Drambo whenever that’s live. Then no more forever! til the next shit hit and dead sexy software appears.
None so far
I did get a few apps around X-MAS (NS2, Turnado, QuantiChord, AB3 Midi IAP, Reason Compact IAP, EG WaveShaper to name a few).
No app yet (but a fortune on other music related stuff) but i´m pretty sure Drumbo will be the first....followed by NS2 when the iPhone version comes (but i did bought it for someone on the iPad.....but of course it was more a present to me to test it out a bit). But it´s worth to buy twice!
Haha! Congrats! Both still very excellent synths, and quite different in what they offer.
Nothing new for me yet. Thinking maybe Aparillo or Turnado, but Aphelion will drop soon and it looks a lot of fun to dig into, so might hold out for that.
Good ones, especially Mitosynth for me. Check out the free patch banks for it...
I’ve had my eye on a few, but there something that keeps pulling me to Group the Loop. Not sure what it is. I thought I’d buy stagelight which has pretty much everything that GTL has, and more, but I keep coming back. The crazy thing that has been holding me up is that I figured during the holidays it would go on sale. It didn’t. I realize it’s only $12, but I know it’s been a lot cheaper. We’ll see what happens.
Aphelian
Haha you talked me into it!! It's really dope!!
Oh word I deff will!! I'm looking forward to importing audio from spacecraft to it! Where are that banks found?
Aphelian. The only app I have bought so far in 2019
F.e.:

I also updated my pack a while ago (which is also included in what Doug puts together plus some more presets and sound sources).

I’ve bought Aphelian for my 8 year old son. He’s really enjoying Gadget and I think he will love the geometry of Aphelian. Plus he doesn’t care about AUv3 lol 😂
Sure hope these get converted to some sort of instance-able plugin format.
Ah! That’s so cool to see the young ones getting into some music making. We are so lucky to have this technology available these days. Good stuff!
Audiokit D1
Oh snap! I think I have these, but possibly not the updates you mentioned. Didn’t realise this was your work, awesome and well done! Thanks for this! 👊👊
Yes, it’s great he’s into it. This was him trying Gadget out for the first time back in the summer. I’m looking forward to checking Aphelian out as well. It looks fun.
Marvellous! And good luck to him!
What the heck!

He already blows ME away!
Aphelian for me. But I just finally picked up GR-16 over Xmas, and that one is keeping me very occupied. Reason Compact, too. Great synth and I like the Chords and Arpeggios a lot.
@Samu : In a few words, how did you find them to be? Any standouts there? Disappointments?
Well, depends on how 'polite' I should be but no real disappointments but I'll stay brief.
NS2 - Good but has its quirks especially if sampling is a priority.
The Obsidian synth is deep and fun while Slate feels a bit sub-par (no easy way to select 'regions' of files to play and no visual cues when using sample-start making slicing a real pita).
Turnado - Surprise, got it on sale, quite deep but the UI feels 'cramped' even with double-tap to zoom. Sound good though and pretty easy on the CPU.
QuantiChord - This 'feature' (ie. Chord Memory and Scale Quantise) should be standard in the hosts but isn't.
Instant 'Techno Chord-Stabs' and easy to play massive chords using one finger. Partial the functionality is present in Step Poly Arp (Using the Sequencer), they complement each others nicely
AB3 Midi IAP - Got it mainly to support AudioBus
Reason Compact - Need something 'fun' on my new iPhone 8, wish it was AUv3 though so I could pipe it into GarageBand
(Love GarageBand on the iPhone 8!).
EG WaveShaper - Wish it's 'filter' was easier to understand, love the flexible LFO's and Envelopes with drawable shapes
As for 'first apps' for 2019 there are some candidates, Drambo (Beepstreet 'Drum Synth)), Photon (MidiSequencer), Enso (AudioDamage Looper) and a few new 'Gadgets'.
I have roughly $100 in store-credits loaded so I'm prepared this time around
Nothing yet, but probably Aphelian, and might get Scythe while it’s on sale. Would like NS2, but will wait for a sale for that one.
@CracklePot he’ll like that!
👍
I went against private advice and the fact I already have too many synths, and bought SM1 on its current $5.99 sale. Within an hour after midnight, so my first of the new year.
I agree with those who aren’t wild about the color or the general functions of the UI, but it is pretty easy to program, many of the presets are useful, and the sound quality is very good.
Decided to get it mostly because it can also be used as an effect too.
Don’t regret the purchase at all, but I’m not getting what all the wild hype was about.
Gestrument Pro. Really interested in what I can create in a super unique environment. Any tips on getting audio into a DAW for completing tracks ?
Went against my anti-pre-ordering thing and booked a copy of Aphelian. Watched the vids again and it’s so good, there’s no way I wouldn’t buy it, so might as well save two quid.
Looking forward to this one.
I’m not going to buy a single music app this year

Last purchase was sugarbytes Aparillo and unique over Christmas
Woodulator
Which year?
I’m not planning on buying anything yet. I bought IAPs for Korg Electribe Wave and Reason Compact. Then I bought a Korg SQ-1 and a Behringer Model D last week with some Amazon gift cards. Been spending most of my time with that and my Neutron. This year is gonna be more about hardware for me. But that’s all getting recorded in to Reason with some Europa patches from Compact at some point.
Ok, so I bought KQ Dixie. Sounds nice and is very peppy. After swearing off Aparillo, I’m embarrassed to say I just downloaded it again. To see if I’m missing something. I’m a case.
