just waiting for drambo, i bought procreate, notability And the Cubasis Waves pack (and FF7!) just on the 30th, so I am definitely on spending hiatus , but drambo is an instabuy
Nothing complicated really. Just connect it through Audiobus with your favorite DAW and you are good to go.
Thank you @Cib !! I'll be grabbing these!
I pulled the trigger on Aparillo the other day, also the Stutter Edit vst for desktop that was on sale.
@Cib thanks for the presets!
OT I think this will be my first vst effect buy of the year once it’s out.
Valhalla DSP new delay plugin.
I just picked up Tantra VST on sale on PluginBoutique as well. Gotta stop now... Quiet January in order...
Probably behind the times here but I bought Audiobus Remote yesterday. Amazing how such an app can open new ways of working which in turn open new musical explorations. It would be great if there was an option in it to monitor audio remotely too as I’m primarily using it as a control to record from my live room, where I have my trumpet mic, to the small control room where I have Cubasis on my iPad. Not a great distance and it does work ok but I’ll buy an extension lead for my headphones.
Surely Drambo*
*unless Samplr 2 or Loopy pro come out before then.
Just waiting for Photon midi au, that should be it for now unless NS2 comes out for iPhone 🤞
I was planning on not buying any apps unless I really needed them....log on here this morning and see that Reggae Drummer is on it's way from Lumbeat....Plan is out of the window already
The only app I'm planning to buy so far is Photon...
Will likely be waiting for Enso and Drambo. Aphelian looks really nice but I’m not buying anything thats not an audio unit from now on.
I finally bought Fabfilter Pro-Q 2 yesterday when the holiday season ended and I officially gave up on it ever going on sale.
Wait, what's an Enso?
Awesome ! Would love to see someone do a tutorial video on this. I’m guessing best way would be to solo and record each instrument to a separate track to make mixing easier. Can’t wait to try this out later.
I don't think it really needs to be - you can send out the MIDI to AU synths hosted in AUM or whatever - it's more of a standalone sequencer/synth thingy.
totally agree. this is my way of helping me curve my app purchasing, and for me it makes sense as I dont use standalone or iaa anymore.
Yeah, if you run into difficulties, I find it best sometimes to use AUM for midi routing. It's the same dev as for Gestrument Pro so I guess he made sure those two were compatible enough.
I have a problem when I try to go to the mentioned site it says it can not be opened and I checked for typos but nothing
Is there an other way to get this pack?
Seems strange though that the whole thesoundtestroom.com site should be unavailable
@MorganR82 The link that @Cib posted in this thread seems to be working fine as I was able to save it to my Dropbox. You should try that one. The soundtestroom demo is a very old one and maybe the link in it is not valid anymore.
Thanks the dropbox link works fine I wish I would have tried that out first
Great! Glad you got them in the end! They are very good.
My first purchase will be Group the Loop nave or EGWaveshaper when it comes on sale
On new years eve I bought cubasis SessionBand SynthMaster One SwarPlug Samplist
Dammit. I knew I should not have opened this thread. Aphelian.
Staying strong...no purchases till March is the plan 🤓
Blamsoft's Viking Synth ($2), Zero Reverb (FREE), Zero Chorus ($1), FC-16 Filter ($1), DC-9 Overdrive ($1)... I passed on the Bit-Sampler Crusher ($1) but many would not.
At these prices I just stocked up out of respect and to give them an inject of cash to make more IOS stuff (hopefully).
I also downloaded their now free VCV Rack modules but have no idea what to do with that new platform on OS X. But kicking the tires on free passes the time.
"Hi, my name is Dave."
"Hi Dave!"
"I've been App Store free for 3 days."
{applause from group}
Taking it one day at a time.
TIP: Don't hang out with addicts.
FYI: Guitar tone heads.
Blamsoft's DC-9 Overdrive is a circuit modeled overdrive plug-in that emulates the famous Ibanez® TS9 Tube Screamer. The DSP algorithms in DC-9 take into account the entire schematic, using the latest modeling techniques. This gives you an authentic analog sound that matches the character of the physical circuit.
Stevie Ray Vaughan's tone was based upon using 2 TS9's before the Amp (as well as using thicker strings tuned down to a half-step). I'm curious to see how 2 of the DC-9's before a Klevgrand ReAmp sound with a Strat. I hope it gets some of that scatch-y SRV crunch.
Not iOS, but the deal was so good it approaches iOS pricing...
Waves (who have a lot of their plugins on sale right now) are offering an ADDITIONAL half off with the code HALFOFF.
I just picked up their brand new Flow Motion FM Synth, which was going for $49 (half off the regular $99), and the code allowed me to halve it again, taking the cost down to $24.50.
The also sent me a "Refer A Friend" link, if you want to try that, which may give you an additional, additional 10% off:
https://www.waves.com/r/aax985
(I actually don't know if you can double up on the discounts with this additional 10% off, but I do know the HALFOFF works on top of the already ON SALE prices you see there.)
Having played with Flow Motion for an hour or so, it's not totally working for me as much as I had hoped, but there's 1000 presets, so a lot more to explore. Definitely tends toward a harsher or more metallic kind of sound. Nice basses. That's about all I can say so far.
But they have a bunch of others on sale right now. I recommend the Abbey Road Chambers (although it is a bit of a CPU hog). Many other great deals to choose from.
Enjoy and Happy New Year!
Drambo
I’ll wait here
