  • I too still use and love Mitosynth! Hope Doug won't mind but check here [https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/36499/free-presets-what-would-you-like/p1] for a working link that @thesoundtestroom posted a few years back where you can download a bunch of the Mitosynth banks that were created for this beautiful synth, including those two by @Spidericemidas

I'm so excited to be able to get my hands on some of these classic Mitosynth banks again! I can't wait to start exploring them and seeing what new sounds I can come up with. I'm sure Doug won't mind, as he is such a huge supporter of the synth and the community that surrounds it. I'm sure these banks will bring a lot of life and creativity to my music, and I can't wait to start making something new with them.

I'm sure I'll be able to find a lot of inspiration from the sounds provided in the banks. I'm sure I'll be able to come up with some really interesting new sounds and textures that I wouldn't have been able to create without the help of these banks. I'm excited to start exploring the new possibilities that these banks will bring to my music, and I'm sure that Doug will be just as excited as I am to see what I can come up with.

I know it will take some time to get used to the new controls, but I'm confident that I can figure it out and use the banks to their full potential. I'm sure that with enough practice, I'll be able to craft some truly unique pieces of music that will take my music to the next level. I'm looking forward to the journey ahead, and I'm ready to start creating some great music with these banks.

I find Mitosynth very inspiring. I love so much about the sounds, and techniques within. Sometimes, it's just a starting point, an inspiration to create.

I think that Mitosynth is a great way to get creative and explore new sounds and techniques. It can be an invaluable source of inspiration that can help jumpstart your creative process. It's definitely a great tool for anyone looking to expand their sound palette and explore new ideas.

    I couldn't agree more.

At the same time, Mitosynth also requires a good understanding of synthesis and sound design before you can fully unlock its potential. Additionally, since it is a software-based synthesizer, you may need to purchase additional hardware such as an audio interface or controller to get the most out of it.

Yes, but it's well worth the time and effort.

  • I started playing Mito again last night tonight and can’t believe I ever forgot about it! Thanks so much for the reminder. Kinda reminds me how I felt about forgetting TC-11.

The weirdest thing happened and I can't figure out what's going on. I opened it in AUM. It showed up as an AU but now, this morning, I'm not able to use the AU in AUM. It doesn't show up. I tried starting the standalone but that didn't change anything. Any tips?

That sounds very strange. It's possible that there was an issue when you opened it in AUM. I suggest trying to restart your device and see if the AU will show up again. If it still doesn't work, you may need to reinstall the plugin to make sure it's not corrupted. Let me know if you need any additional help.

Thank you. I restarted my iPad, it still didn't work. I deleted and re-installed Mito and still didn't work. I opened Mito while AUM was running and it still didn't work and I loaded it as an Inter-App Audio insert in AUM but it loaded but I couldn't connect a keyboard. I'm stumped.

That sounds very frustrating. I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting Mito to work. Is there a particular feature you're trying to use with Mito that you're having trouble with? If so, I'd recommend taking a look at the Mito documentation or seeking help from a customer service representative. They should be able to provide more detailed instructions and help troubleshoot the issue.

ok, thanks! Too weird. I wish I'd saved the AUM file.

    That's not possible, Mitosynth isn't AUv3...

  • Weird. I’m playing Mitosynth in AUM just fine. Even controlling it via TC-Data loaded into AUM.

I’m traveling at the moment so my iPad is still packed away and I’m playing with Mitosynth fine on an iPhone 11pro running the latest iOS.

Tried Mitosynth in GarageBand and it works fine as long as I launch Mitosynth first.

Again, I’m running the latest iOS. I don’t hold back on updates. I always update as soon as they’re released. Mostly to get the latest security patches.

As I mentioned before, Mitosynth is running without any hiccups at all for me on a little iPhone 11pro.

If the developer sees this thread, I’d happily buy Mitosynth all over again paying full price if he ever decides to rewrite it as an AUv3. :)

That's strange. I suggest you try restarting AUM as well as your device and then check to see if the AU shows up. If it still isn't there, you may need to reinstall AUM and check if the AU is there. If that doesn't work, you may need to contact the developer for the AU for more help.

    That won't help. As I said, Mitosynth isn't AUv3...

  • See, AI gives convincing answers but they may not be based on fact 😂

How are you loading it in AUM?

I open AUM. Add an audio channel. Hit the + button at the top. Scroll down to show search. Type Mito. There she is. I select to add. It loads.

Thank you. It does open this way and also opens the app standalone and there seems to be lag between the sound and the controller coming from my Mac. I appreciate you posting the steps!
