Yeah, it's really impressive!
You said you would like to see more tutorials @Tritonman2. Any ideas on the subject?
I think a really good tutorial would be all the hidden goodies in instrument sound shaping.
Not just tutorials , I just want to see some more of what it can produce! I would like to see more examples really of just what it is capable of. Do not misunderstand me, I am fairly sure I am going to be trying this out as it looks very interesting and fun also. I would like to see it in action a bit more and I also like to listen just for fun.
Beyond tutorials from the Dev, I think that it may be for users to show off their creations.
Yes and beyond the tutorials which look fairly thorough I wanted to see it in use more than as a tutorial. Perhaps just using it for song creation and mixing. What can it really do not just the features.
@mgmg4871 Yes, there are plenty of interesting features in the instrument config that aren't covered yet. I guess most of the parameters are pretty standard stuff, but features like the XY-modulation assignments may be a bit cryptic. I see there's a lot of stuff that users might want to get easier access to.
We're already planning an updated demo video with more emphasis on the solo mode. I think were after exactly what you @Tritonman2 are talking about.
There are a couple videos from bloggers out there, but they're not really showing much of the app's features or capabilities.
It's really good to get all this feedback!

It is now! Thanks to ->me<-, weee!. It started with me and some Russian dude, I made some joke about MIG planes I think, and half the Russian AppZapp population descended upon me with some mother Soviet Russia's wrath...err or something, I dunno why they got crazy. But it went downhill from there, until the Admin erased my last 3-4 months and banned me from making any comments (and probably some Russian accounts too). But some, to me unknown, young lady messaged me on AppZapp about getting pissed that they had banned me from commenting, so they started emailing AppZapp until my account was unlocked again. Nuts lol..
Anyway you all should leave reviews and/or thumbs up/down on AppZapp too. They have a pretty large user base, next to the AppStore itself obviously. And it's just so much faster and easier to use then the regular AppStore app. It having price and update alerts is only a bonus. But dl it fast before Apple removes it from the AppStore (they're cracking down on everything that can be considered an AppStore replacement, or something along those lines).
Lol. That's to funny @ChrisG.
Appzapp pro is free at moment too
Well, I could not resist any longer and I kind of had app fever hitting anyway so I snagged this early this evening but only had about five minutes to mess around with it. I can see some awfully neat potential for this once I figure out what in hell I am doing.
Now I am going to find those three videos from earlier handy. Still waiting on more though.
I wish more vids would get released on a regular basis for other apps also. I think that the developers would be doing themselves a great service as far as sales by promoting more through YouTube.
I am tired but I think I am going to go investigate this neat little app out some more.
I can not wait to try it out with friends and family as well. It is a pretty cool concept both in solo mode and as a joint effort with friends. This might be both fun and a great work tool all at the same time.
I would really like a landscape option. I use the app in solo mode mainly. Or perhaps a toggle when in '4way mode' to move clockwise by step increments the 4 instruments. So there will always be one landscape playable slot that can be swivelled to will. Did I explain that ok? Ha
@Tritonman2 I hear you about the videos, and i agree, more videos will benefit all. Please share your experiences in a review.
@SpookyZoo I understand what you mean. Curiously! we already have such rotating function for debugging, but it's disabled in the public version. Mostly, because in the long term plans we have much better unit handling. You know, where you can move the units around and arrange your session pretty freely. All this just takes time to implement and there are miles and miles stuff on the TODO list ahead of this. Thank you for the suggestion!
About to go for it when I saw the comment about portrait mode only. I use my iPad in landscape mode almost exclusively (ultra-Thin keyboard) so cannot stand it on end in the slot beause that either occludes the lighning connectr or it sits on the power button. Should I go ahead anyway or wait on landscape mode?
Can't you flip the the device so that the connectors are on the side looking away from you? I wouldn't wait for a landscape mode if i were you, that's not currently in the plans. You should definitely go ahead!
Portrait is very awkward due to the lightning connection at one end and headphone socket at the other.
I thought more about my idea of rotating the one landscape instrument. If you could flick all parameters/ settings the way you currently can with patterns, to one of the 'empty/unused' positions that would be supercool. To then free up that landscape position for NEW tracks.
Landscape might not be one of the sexier plans you have, but I feel it could be one of the most useful. Non-landscape has often been quoted as a reason for a non-buy.
Very cool app though and WOULD recommend even without that current ability...especially at the current sale price and with the hopes of midi-editing in the future too.
No fan of portrait mode her either. I have to unplug the charger to use in portrait mode. Well I could unplug the sound jack but that leaves me with either purchasing blue tooth speakers or the (cough, cough), soundbof the iPad speakers.
Sounds like you guys should use a laptop?

^ not cool.
You asked for feedback and it has been given here in good faith.
Oh, i'm sorry about that. That was an innocent question. Don't get me wrong. I'm extremely grateful for your feedback.
In fact I do have a laptop now that you mentioned it . I have three of them, two that I mostly dedicate to my DJ business and another for fun and music creation plus the tower hooked to the 42 inch monitor. Perhaps I should be using it as an alternative more often. I really love what I can do with it and my Karmafied Korg M50 and the Novation Mininova! When filtered through the Korg KP3 it far exceeds anything I could possibly dream of doing with Cotracks. Thanks for your thoughts.
Thanks for having me.
Hi @mfa, Maybe I mistook the tone of your laptop comment. We are however on an iOS app's forum, discussing our experience using your own iOS app. EDIT: ( meaning we're discussing the UI of your app for an idevice, nothing to do with being a 'rival app' as your comment below seems to have mistakenly thought.) We love dev talk here!
I like it, and hope you have success with it and it's future updates!
While I think @Tritonman2's last comment was a little harsh, he was very positive about your app in previous posts and was perhaps upset by the laptop comment.
It's a fine thing to have communication between users and developers here and I hope some crossed wires haven't broken that link.
Every user here wants the best for the apps we buy and sometimes feature requests are good enough ideas to get implemented.
Hope you'll continue the dialogue. Appy new year!
Thanks SpookyZoo, it's been really nice talking with all of you here and i totally understand how you may have found my comment offending. I was careless, sorry about that. Anyway, i believe it has become a classic PR f**k up to piss users off on a conversation of ones own product taking place on a rivaling company's public forum. The customer is always right. This stuff should be left to trained professionals. Do not try this at home! Now before i get my coat, i would like to say that knowing your views helps me to make better products and i honestly appreciate you sharing them. I have set up a number of channels for user feedback and sincerely welcome you to use all of them.
Thank you for using Cotracks and happy new year!
I think you should leave your coat on the stand, grab a seat, grab a beer, laugh off the misunderstanding and remain at this conversation table.
It's not a PR f**k up. More power to you for being here and keeping involved with dialogue. Users really appreciate that!
Yes, do not leave on our account in fact we like having you here for constructive dialogue. You at least showed up at the table to discuss. I was not trying to put down your fine app in anyway either just so you know. I do like it , although I do need to spend quite a bit more time with it to get up to speed . My hardware set up while not the best is extremely capable and so far I have found Nothing on IOS that comes close, just so you don't think that I was singling yours out. I use both for different reasons and try my best to have them compliment each other. Hopefully we can remain helpful to each other. I apologize for being a bit harsh.
If you're interested on the feedback of your customers (like me), bad movement leaving the forum...so I'd think it twice.

^^^^ that. Stick around.
Also, I don't own the app but this thread got me to consider it again. Portrait only is a bit of deal breaker for me. I don't own one but I imagine it's also a deal breaker for anyone using the fairly popular Alesis ioDock.
I have and like CoTracks. I've had a few very fun sessions with my wife and sons on this app. It is certainly one of the most unique apps out there. My hat is off to the dev for taking the time and initiative to stop by the forum. I think most of us consider the AB forum to be one of the best. People here are usually very civil, knowledgable, and helpful. A true rarity as far as forums go. Given that, there are times when something is said that is insensitive, taken out of context, etc, but that isn't the norm. The norm is that most of us are trying to further the whole mobile music concept. I hope you stick around @mfa and help us with that goal.
After reading the thread through I bought CoTracks and am very glad I did. Found out I'd already been enjoying code by this co., a fantastic (and free) vst synth on my PC.
@mfa your photo makes you look a bit like Jason Bourne
@mfa I do own the app although do not use it much because of the portrait thing. However, I do like its possibilities and have been following this thread to hear others thoughts. I have also appreciated the fact you have listened to feedback and participated . It would be a shame to grab your coat and leave now.
