For everyone else: If you're considering getting BOTH Keys AND Pads, you might want to hold out for a little bit because there'll be a bundle for $4.99 for both. I wanted to release that at the same time as the individual apps, but Apple's requirement for manual review even for app BUNDLES caught me a bit off-guard :)

@Cristus @White I have both Pianoroll and Polyhymnia as possible candidates :) I wanted to do the keyboard module first because that doesn't have to deal with MIDI input and a clock / timeline. Sort of as a "proof of concept". :) If everything goes well, and I can collect enough energy to deal with Apple review once more, there should be more AUv3s coming :) (sorry about the Apple comment, but yeah, sometimes it's really hard to digest what you have to cope with there.)

While I dig KB-1 I really enjoy the width controls in Xequence. Having the pads and keys as AU is great.
You just cannot record midi output into sequencer... BUT you can use "Photon AU" for recording outgoing midi from those plugins, and then just "open in nanostudio" - it saves recorded MID file to NS's Inbox - from there it's jusy about drandrop midi file to sequencer track...

Currently NS2 doesn’t let you record using midi AU/ IAA apps hopefully update soon.
Is this a sampler? Like are you able to assign sounds to pads etc and save it with the au like beathawk, Slate etc?
No, it is a configurable pad surface that can send MIDI notes and thus control other AUv3 apps.

Nope, that’s mostly it. And “that” is great!
The two apps are highly configurable drum pad or keyboard controller surfaces that can be used in any host that supports AUv3 midi. They’re a lot more featured than most host keyboards, and have the ability to set up any number of parameter control sliders alongside.
Maybe you have no use for something like this, but I’m totally psyched about it! 😎
Small suggestion for @SevenSystems ...
For pads, a “Max at center (vertical only)” would be useful. This would ignore horizontal location in the pad. With narrow pads it’s hard to hit that sweet spot. Also, with glide on, the hits are at low velocity since they come in from the edge.
