Feature suggestion: configurable midi channel per pad. Some apps could benefit from this, and it would make it possible to control more than one app from the same control surface.
Yes, that's a good idea. Will see if I can sneak it in.
Configurable channel per pad is also something I've considered myself, but wanted to wait for teh feedbacks... adding to roadmap!
@SevenSystems preset for NS2 Slate would be nice ;) It’s easy - bottom left pad starts by default at note 42(C2) and then goes up in lines from bottom to top and from left to right. Slate has 4 columns of pads and 8 rows, which means top right (32th) pad ends on note 79 (G4)
*important* notes i mentioned above are NS notes.. looks like C2 in NS means C4 in Xequence Pads ! That’s why i mentioned as reference also MIDI note numbers to avoid confusion...
ideal would be 3 presets - Slate Full 32, Slate 1 - 16 and Slate 17 - 32 (this way it would be consistent with Slate layout)
@dendy and @tja
An included map for NS2 would be handy, but it’s easy as pie to make one. Just set up the number of pads you want, hit the magic wand button and select clear, then select fill and the lowest note in the pad range. The rest will automatically be filled chromatically. Save the user map, and you’re done.
Too late: 😉
Cheater! 😉
Perfect - thanks!
Auto buy to support a cool developer!
@SevenSystems, It’s possible that the map for Elastic Drums is off. It could well be that I midi-learned different pads in Elastic Drums some time in the past and forgot that I did it. But if not, then it is probably off for others as well.
Pads in ED for me are note 36 through 41.
Now I a want a refund............😉
Thanks for reporting, that's a user-contributed map... I have to hunt the contributor down! :)
Thanks - I seem to remember you weren't quite comfortable with Xequence's overall workflow... maybe you can at least enjoy its awesome keyboard and pads modules now! :)
lets go Apple with the bundle! They always seem to take extra long when doing app bundles
Will Xequence support auv3 at some point?
Riffer is fine, but PolyHymnia is sublime!
What are the differences with KB-1 ? I am very tempted to buy it because I love Xequence but I have to admit that KB-1 is very good...can it be beaten ?
If you mean AUv3 hosting inside Xequence, it is under consideration but I can't give any sort of guarantee it will make it.
As to PolyHymnia: An AU version of that (similar to Xequence AU | Pads & Keys) is very much under consideration indeed. :)
Yes, auv3 hosting was what I was referring to, but I realize that’s probably a ton of work. I vote a resounding yes for a PolyHymnia AU. It just seems...smarter than the other generative apps out there. Hard to explain, but it’s more rhythmically intelligent, if that makes sense, than say Riffer etc. (ps, not bagging on Riffer)
I guess that a lot of the characteristics of generative music algorithms are a matter of taste, as it's hard to define what's "better" or "worse"... but as long as every generative app matches a certain kind of taste, I guess we're all fine :)
Yay! AUv3 state is now saved and restored in the host with the latest update. Thanks! 😎
Funny ... an update gets approved before a bundle that was submitted days prior to it. Apple is odd. No matter, you deserve the extra $0.66 (after apple’s cut) for separate purchases. Hell, I’d even round it up to $0.67 for you, mate.
Thanks for that 😇 yes, I could write entire books about the app review process by now. Sometimes I wonder how they make that much money... clearly some parts of their company are not very well organized.
Oh and did you already find your "Max at center (vertical only)" thingamajig? 😉
Yep!!
Hi @SevenSystems A latch mode on AU Keys would be useful
Yes, got that request a few times already and it's on the shortlist! 🎶
Got the bundle last night. For Pads, it would be cool to have an isomorphic keyboard mode a la Push or Launchpad Pro with definable scales like Xequence Keys
Yeah, this is on the shortlist to look into... pretty much a new entry in the "Magic Wand" menu a la "Fill", but with more (musical) options and flexibility.
Perfect, exactly as I was imagining it. :)
Very nice! The maps for various apps and hardware are helpful, too.
+1 curious too
