Reported on FB too that there might be some crashes after update. Have not experienced myself.
Same bug here with loop speed.
I think that AUM loads Enso and only then sets tempo. In my case session tempo is bpm 98.
So I get this weird behaviour with loop speed every time when I load this session for the first time. Because default bpm in AUM is 120.
There is workaround - reload session again. I beleive this works because AUM already has right tempo.
Does anyone knows why AUM doesn’t see all audiounit parameters when using MidiControl only a few parameters appear in the list.
The same plugins loaded in apematrix or beatmaker shows far more parameters that can be midi controlled.
is it a bug or is there a way to reveal those hidden parameters?
Did you try scrolling through the lists ?
I think some of them aren't supposed to be exposed. Jonatan mentioned this previously.
I think this is the real reason.
But it’s a shame, as lots of hidden params will benefits midi control.
Then ask the plugin developers to expose those parameters as well! http://devnotes.kymatica.com/auv3_parameters
Thanks for clarifying the situation.
Yes, that fixed it. Thanks!
Good to know about this TwistedWave feature!
Yeah, Twisted Wave is a very nice app!
Just about the only things I miss in it is to set the 'ruler' to show samples instead of time and also optionally disable zero-snap for truly sample-accurate editing. (The Dev is aware of these requests but hesitant to add them since I'm one of the few who have actually asked for them).
Also Input selection when using USB attached audio interfaces is still missing...
In due time I'll send Tom (the dev) another e-mail requesting a few things
@j_liljedahl : I would love an option to be able to have the add new channels button be on the left. I have some 13 channel basic setups (for Loopy individual track returns) and would love to be able to add new AUM channels to the left of them.
Even more than that I’d like to have a BPM setting and a ruler/snap to tempo division. I always end up needing to re-edit in AudioShare because of that.
Yeah, I've just sent a request to Thomas regarding a beat-grid as well
Also I added a request for Mono->Stereo and Stereo->Mono conversion (with Keep L, Keep R and Mix options).
And well Input selection when using multi-input USB-Devices which is missing on the Mac version as well...
And optionally showing the ruler to 'samples' in addition to time which will help in trimming/editing samples for Animoog and other apps that require super precise sample lengths...(2000 per cycle for SynthMaster as an example).
Remains to be seen how he responds
NB. Just got a reply and consider adding some kind of 'beat grid' to the app
Don't know how much feedback he actually gets but please do forward all the requests.
The more users keep requesting for a feature the more likely it is to be implemented...

Is there a way to change the massive UI size so that each channel column doesn't take up so much real estate on the screen? It seems like we are wasting a TON of space that could enable more channel views without scrolling. I u derstand different screens require different size/scaling, but this negates the benefits of having a larger screen, so it would be amazing if it we're user scalable
Did AUM used to support IAA sync from Audiobus 3?
I don’t think so.
I'll second this. When using AUM in a live situation I'd find it much easier if I'm running (say) eight channels and could just shrink the view down a bit to include them all instead of scrolling.
I was already asking the developer for some "zoom-out" mode where you would see the whole project (if not bigger than eg 12-16 channels). Also I would like to see two more improvements to channels to ease up the navigation in AUM:
1. "Hybrid channels" that could contain all types of auv3s - midi generators, midi effects, sound generators and sound effects, chained in this order.
2. Current MIDI channel (that can load many plugins inside a single channel strip) to be able to contain any type of sound source - any auv3, IAA or even a file player, so it would be rather called something like "compact channel". Imagine having many channels like this with loaded loops - Ableton live with-style loop/sample player inside AUM...
Also I had one small idea to improve AUM switching between windows and channels - double tap on the empty area (e.g. Above or between the channel stripes) would hide all the windows, double tap again will show them back as they were left. No need to always move or close them to see the main AUM workspace...
If you like these ideas, please write to the developer directly. That's usually the best way to "vote" for a feature.
It seems harder now to move the new midi channels left or right within the strip like you can the audio channels with long press.
+1 for some sort of “zoom out” feature or fold/minimize channel option
@j_liljedahl AUM is a constant source of inspiration, thanks so much for this. The “show plugin” function is great, especially if you have an external controller. A great improvement would be to have the possibility to press a button in AUM that will open all AU instances and sized them to make them all appear on the screen. A second press on the button will hide all AU instances...That will help a lot with the live interactivity and to quickly find the plugin we want to modify
Hello to all,
Since I upgraded to 1.3 I can't hear the metronome anymore.
Am I the only one?
Is there an option/way to have the midi routing order by channel instead of the alpha order ?
I hope AUM gets a new keyboard someday!
I prefer to use it cuz I love how it's built in to the app, makes it just much more convenient, accessible and better on tha workflow... But would love to see scales, resize keys, mpe expression maybe, and maybe even a way to side screen it!
Agree 1000000%
+1
Nvm. Misunderstood.
