What does shared presets across hosts mean?
Amazing update!
Thank you! ❤️
New in iOS 13 is the ability for AUv3 plugins to store user presets that can be accessed from any host. But both plugin and host must implement it. I don't know yet how many plugins does.
When you save a user preset for an AUv3 in AUM, it will ask you to choose "Save in Plugin" or "Save in AUM". If the plugin doesn't support it, "Save in Plugin" will show a message and ask you to tell the developer about it.
Live, here on the U.K store.
Cool! Thanks for explaining. Great feature. I primarily use AUM presets already.
Congrats on the update!
It’s another Stellar update
Looking forward to updates to Layr and EG pulse to use the multi-timbral AU port functions. Other apps I hope will follow too 🤞
What a star!! AUM might well of been the thing that tipped me into getting an ipad for music making. It just gets better.
Thanks @j_liljedahl ! Will test this out today
Yay! Have been waiting for this!
Just launched* the first Multi-output effect for use with the new AUM!
*check the Scatterbrain thread
@j_liljedahl Thank you! Multi-channel is, obviously, a major addition, but I’m really excited by all the little fixes: window positions, rescue MIDI mappings for crashed plugins, etc.
This is the kind of stuff that makes AUM a joy to use, and the heart of everything I do, thank you!
Anyone can point me out how to sidechain plugins and multi output with auv3 like Pulse? I’m little bit lost.
Maybe only some link to videos to watch and learn👍👍👍
@j_liljedahl Just amazing. Thank you!!
I’m off to the App Store to see how I can support your work further. This update would have been a paid upgrade for a lot of other developers on iOS and/or desktop!
Indeed. Also MIDI actions to bypass plugin and to start/stop MIDI AUs, will be good for live jams.
@j_liljedahl Taking us forward. Let’s go! 🙏
Great! Thank you
i wish more midi aufx had the start stop button...like spa and fugue machine really need it!!! so far i only have atom and octochron with a start stop button
@reasOne When you route the output of your midi generators through ‚Toggle Channels‘ Mozaic script (using different midi channels per generator) you can toggle them ‚on bar divisions‘
I have some more multi-midi processing scripts in development
@j_liljedahl Pushing the boundaries for making music on iOS.. once again, the edges have been extended even further and we all get to explore the new land.. Thank you for this great update!
👍
Anyone have a quick demo/tutorial on how to setup sidechaining with this new update? Planning on using RoughRider3 to start.
From my post in one of the other threads:
Here instruction for setting up EG Pulse Multi-Output AU:
For the first output, add an AUM audio channel and load EG Pulse Multi-Output AU into the input slot.
For the second to n‘th output add another AUM channel and in its input popup, you‘ll find a submenu with ‚Multi.Bus Audio Unit Instances‘. In that sub-menu select ‚EG Pulse Multi-Output‘. This will add Bus 16. Now tap on the new Bus-Icon left of the AU instance icon to select the bus for this channel.
Each bus can be only added once and one can only select a single bus to read from.
.
And instructions for setting up side-chaining with Pro-C2:
MMmmboy... now I got my eye on EG Pulse...
Second Christmas is here.
Could Doug @thesoundtestroom possibly make an updated AUM video showcasing all these brand new features for us please? Thanks Jonatan for all of your hard work! I already own everything you make and I will continue to support and buy every app that you make forevah! Thanks to Doug too for your Top Job making your cool beans vids all year long for us as well! Happy New Year to you both!
@j_liljedahl great update, thank you!
Do you have a Patreon page? I feel bad to get this for free.
I already have all your apps and have 5stared them.
We are so blessed to have this amazing dev!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!😌
This might be a stupid question as I have not rtrm (if there indeed is one) as the AUM otherwise seems to be so intuitive, but is there a zoom out view? Like pinch to zoom out?
When there are dozen or more tracks deployed it becomes a bit cumbersome to scroll between them for live play. Guess creating busses and otherwise organizing tracks better helps, but zoom out, quick select to zoom in would be helpful. Any tips from pros? Maybe a humble feature request if this is not implemented in AUM?
Loving the app very much. It unglogged my composing and jamming pipes.
You can book mark,
I normally book mark 1st lane, middle and last
Then you can jump quickly between them
