We should all tweet some love to Mr. Alonso!
+1!
This was quite a revelation. I didn't realise that Samplr loaded in the output slot. Great for circumventing the presumed recording 'bug'. Actually seems like using it this way the loop is tighter. The built in one use to have a lag.
Actually this isn't possible in AUM so another point for team Audiobus! Not that it's a shootout or anything
Everyone tweet to include 'Panning ' in the next update !!!! ..... We Can Do It !!! All things are possible when two or more Samplr users come together and agree in the name of the groove!!!
Imho better put the app under protection of 'endangered species' of software masterpieces.
Such are are so rare to find these days...
Someone may write a sequel 2.0 if he or feels qualifying
Hmm, that's interesting.
Do you know how well does that input selector works when using external USB Audio-Interfaces?
(I've been cutting down on app spendings thus I don't have Chameleon yet).
Can it do both Mono & Stereo sampling?
Ie. if the device has say 2 inputs is it possible to select 1,2(mono) and 1&2(stereo).
And is it easy to 'replace' or 'modify' a sample that is already in a saved preset?
As for Samplr I can still record using the built-in microphone on my iPad Air 2, iOS12.1.4...
(iOS12.2 will most likely drop tomorrow so I will test on that too).
Afaik you cannot assign a single microphone to a channel (or any combinations to multiple channels), at least atm.
Samplr dream update wish-list
Audio playback digital distortion aliasing issue
Panning and volume on all 6 clips available at bottom of screen
Easy Access to Files and audioshare
Organising of projects project info, bpm
Compressor Limiter rather than clipping distortion
EQ to include parametric
Bus or master effects send
Effects window automation
Deeper effects editing
AUM effects plugin possibility
Ableton link stop start
Way too much distraction from the focus of samplring, but nice features if you find a design as smart as the original
I hope SamplR never changes - considering it's age this is the app that showed how to combine multitouch with an highly efficient workflow.
It's an icon like the MPC ... and in many cases makes the latter blush.
here here!
Is it ok to buy it nowadays? Still seems great app but i'm worry about some issues on newest OS? Everything works fine? Audioshare, Aum?
sure thing not only that, but I hear that if you request 'Panning' to the developer on his Facebook page directly that you can still get the app for the current price.
SamplR is enough reason to buy an iPad only to run this app - no joke
(an iPad 2 is all it needs)
Absolutely agree.
Many iOS apps try to replicate other devices, other platforms. Samplr is brilliantly designed purely for the ipad and its touchscreen and as such has unique characteristics unavailable anywhere else
iPad running Samplr might one day be recognised as a classic musical instrument in its own right.
Is this working fine on iOS 13? Thanks
It is.
I’m constantly using it @Faland
Thanks guys!
@iOSTRAKON great vid ! am using samplr too... was wondering how you sync the tempo with aum ?
Thanks @mlau ! With samplr, I just played most of the samples live. I know there’s a tempo sync issue so I just improvised
I’ve repeatedly tried to buy the IP and bring it back. No luck.
@iOSTRAKON congrats !
Thanks @mlau ! Just checked out some of your album and really enjoyed it. Also noticed you’re from Finland. One of my favorite projects, Cardinal Noire, is from there. Worked with those guys a couple of times.
@iOSTRAKON maybe @TheAudioDabbler could help with this sync... would be fantastic to be able to sync aum or audiobus w/samplr ..... also, i will check cardinal noire.... and thank you for the kind words, much appreciated 👌
I can look more into it later but maybe this video will help. It’s older but still may apply.
Had Samplr syncing with Launchpad (midi clock) a few days ago.. I can only imagine the possibilities when Ableton Link is implemented with the pending update.. Will also love to see time-stretch and key transpose improvement..
BTW, when synced to Launchpad app, one can use Launchpad’s Ableton Link to sync to other apps.. A bit too much to get AB link working..
@TheAudioDabbler nice “ circonvolution “ 😎 never thought of that one !
@Alexandernaut was wondering if it’s possible to use your app link to midi for this task ?
@mlau I just tested this morning and Link to Midi works for syncing with Samplr. So you can use it to sync Samplr with any link enabled apps or hosts.
