This came up in a thread by @reasOne -- imagine Bandit with multi-out...😍

    Yes!!!!!!!

What would be even more amazing would be multiple inputs after the outputs so you could run them like inserts out to external effects and them recombine (and / or not recombine).

Super bonus points (aka IAP $s) for the ability to place the internal effects either before or after these inserts!

Even better. What if bandit could host AuV3s?

    AUv3's can't be hosts of other AUv3's.

    Yet?

From what developers have said, there is no indication from Apple that this limitation will be removed any time soon. It wouldn’t shock me if it eventually changes, but it is highly unlikely to be soon.

  • fyi bandit is 2$ off right now, i’m not sure for how long

  • My latest post using Bandit on miRack patch amongst lots of other things. It really shines on adding depth to existing sounds.

  • Anyone else struggling to adjust FAC Bandit to the material used?
The mid-to-high band starting at 2 kHz is much too high at times, not that I'm specifically after the high band, but being restricted at a minimum of 2 kHz for the MID band upper limit is often much too high.
I would certainly use Bandit more often without that limitation.

  • Bandit could benefit from having 3 multi outs. I’d use bussed fx more than built in reverbs and delays. :)

  • am I crazy or is there no way to save a Bandit patch from the unit itself?

In AUM I use the AUM interface to save my patches but I can't see a way to do it from the audio unit itself when I'm in BM3. Can anyone help me out?

Long press on the preset name gives you a context menu. Save as creates a user preset with a matching prefix. The preset can similarly be overwritten or deleted via the context menu.

Thank you! I knew there had to be a way :)

  • Oh man, I finally stumped up for the in-app purchases for delay and reverb. So worth it, having this band-level control over reverb and delay is just amazing.

  • I use Bandit way too much - if ever I have a bogged down NS2 project it’s usually because of too many Bandit instances - can imagine it’d be ten times worse if I had the IAP’s too!

  • This is one of the best effects apps on iOS. It’s my goto arsenal for lofi sound design

Haha, if u love this so much you honestly should get the reverb and delay, soooooo good. Imagine being able to put delay only on the mids, for example, with then a touch of reverb only on the highs or lows, really useful

Yep that sounds great for drum and bass stuff, midrange bass synths etc - especially as I need another workhorse reverb as the NS2 verb isn’t the best imo

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • how much are the iaps?

  • In dollars I’m not sure. I guess about 2 bucks for the reverbs and 2 for the delays.

  • If only buying one, I’d go for the delays

  • the reverbs are great, really nice for putting a bit of boom on a snare or some shimmer on high hats

  • Yeah, I’m definitely not dissing the reverb haha. Buy both if you can.

  • cool ya i’ll def buy both, this is one of two fac apps i don’t have... ive been meaning to get it and you all convinced me (like i needed it lol) but i’ve been trying to buy less and use what i have more, supporting fred is a priority tho

Haha, I see you managed to talk yourself into it with the old ‘need to support a good dev’ argument. Always a good one to have as a backup when all else fails :D

hahaha it’s an easy one to abuse 😎 but fred is making some of the best stuff

  • This app is not worked on now, right ?
Were the IAP a huge failure ?
Have to ask because the Phaser would have been way more powerful as a multiband add on for this.
Definitely a shame, this is by far the best FAC plugin with the most potential.

  • Yes, would be great to see more IAP options for this app

  • Updated

  • Nice, multi-outs. This is the true FAC gem in my opinion, as essential as the phaser and chorus are.

  • Great, multi outs was what this app needed :)

  • Oh yeah.. This is gonna be fun! Thank you @FredAntonCorvest

    What's new in version 1.5
    • NEW: Addition of an Audio Unit extension providing multiple outputs (Low, Mid, High bands can be routed to individual output in your AU host)
Warning: to use the new extension you need an AU host supporting multiple outputs. If not, use the regular FAC Bandit Audio Unit extension.

  • This is epic update, loads of possibilities.
