  • How are people finding loads of possibilities in multi out, no hosts other than AUM support it (correct me here) and AUM is terrible for linear music making (ala traditional DAWs)

    ......because people use AUM?

  • We love AUM. Period

  • Easy, I don't make linear music. 😁 Experimenting is its own reward.

  • AUM is the foundation of all my music. never liked linear music production

    AUM dude!

I'm sure the DAW's will add Multi-out features sometime in the next 5 years. Wake me up when it happens... I'll just keeping building complex musical structures live using AUM.
    It's just fun.

You can always export your stems and loops into DAWs. AUM is great for just getting the creative juices flowing.

  • FYI - Multi-outs working great in apeMatrix too..

  • Can people get access to the delay and reverb from within the multi out? Even after restoring the IAP on the main app the AUv3 doesn’t seem to recognize that I bought them..

  • You could record the multi-out sessions in AUM and then move it to linear DAW world ;)

    Restart Host! (or plugin)

  • @ohwell I was just using a (multi-out) reverb preset in apeMatrix.. everything OK there.. haven’t tried AUM yet..
Usually an FAC Bandit update seems to wipe the IAPs clean.. I nearly always have to restore them as you already have done.. this time I didn’t have to.. strange? Yes.. maybe try to reboot?

Btw, when using AB3 and AUM with some other apps (such as Auria) one can make use of multiouts. A little bit of a hassle but possible.

  • Restarting the host didn't work, but somehow restarting the whole phone did. Working now! :)

    Sweet update!

    Cool.

Had the same issue - host (AUM) restart, sorted it.

    Same difference!

  • Love AUM. I’m another non-linear music maker ... I hate being tied into linearity when I’m trying out ideas. Linear is Fine for producing but not for experimenting/improvising.

  • Xequence2 + AUM = linear music making.

  • OK, so just AUM then, so not much use to the majority of music makers right now.

Doesn’t hurt anyone either though does it now. ;)

Not sure I ever mentioned it hurting anything ? But it certainly isn’t much use to the majority of music makers though.

  • Good to know. Thanks for that deep insight.

  • Sorry, just feel like being a dick tonight.

No problem, enjoy yourself, nobody on the internet has ever bothered me one iota, so fill your boots ;)

In the main app, restore purchases, close the app, reopen > @Turntablist said:

    What does the majority use?

  • The majority of DAWs across any platform are Linear DAWs, until linear DAWs support it on iOS, it isn't that useful to the majority of producers.
Unfortunately factual statements like that seem to annoy a bunch of people on this forum.

Its not linear but I think ApeMatrix also has multi out.

Which linear composition app do we think will be the first to bite the bullet with multi out? Which one is ‘agile’ enough to add it sooner rather than later.

Oh and FAC Bandit it a really great app IMHO.

Probably Auria, then Cubasis would be my guess, nothing else mentioned a lot is really getting updates.

Zenbeats supports multi-out instrument plugins. I don't think it has support yet for FX multi-out plugins though.
