I use Octachron to send notes to Digistix2 in Loopy Pro, and it works very well, except if I leave my pattern playing for a long time (say more than 5 minutes) it will start dropping notes, or even entire channels, although I haven't touched anything (and there is no randomization on those notes either). Often the notes will start playing back by themselves if I leave it on, and anyway trying to remove them from the grid and adding them back doesn't make them reappear. I notice the notes are usually at the measure boudaries.

Anyone experiencing this problem ? I've been using other midi sequencers, and even midi clips before, and it never happened, so I guess it might be a problem with Octachron, not my Midi routing or anything. The patterns are saved as AU presets, if that matters.

  • Triplets yet?

yes, of course. Please long press on that track and set the clock divider to 3/4. Please also see our Manuel on that.

    does that help? 🙂

@TasTax How about the progress of a forward/backward (bounce) lane option? Also a dice option to fill patterns randomly would be very welcome for surprise quick results.

Ah, I see, thank you. I'd looked at the manual but obviously missed it.

Oh, while I'm at it, @TasTax , have you given any thought to ratchet (step repeat) probability? Or perhaps that's something I've missed as well.

It’s there, make sure to check out all the Mod parameters.

Hm. I see a mutation parameter for step repeat, but I don't think that would be it. And the probability mod itself is the probability of a note on a beat. I see nothing to specifically indicate the likelihood of a step repeat in a running pattern... something that MidiDreams does, though it's limited to a ratchet (double beat).

Sorry, I missed the probability part. No, I don’t think it exists. Have you given Drambo a try? It lets you set probability for any note parameter.

  • Purchased! I was looking for an app to mimic what I use Opal for in the computer and I think this will fit my needs.
I just need to map Battalion this evening

No, you are right. We don't have that yet. But we have it on our list.
