Agree, surprises are nice.
No one said IOS abandoned. Only no big progress for long time. If Ampify announced midi out definitely coming to Groovebox, many people pleased. Developer must know what is the plan.
Hey! The custom preset saving will apply to all Groovebox instruments including Drumbox.
Understand that some future feature stay top secret to stop competitor developing similar first. But midi out well established feature of many apps. Ampify must know if plan to add this to Groovebox. So why not say yes or no?
Hey. Unfortunately it's pretty tricky for us to give definite lists of what we're going to implement in future because new features always have to be balanced with changes outside our control (e.g. iOS updates, technical improvements, hardware support updates) but we will keep you posted as we add more user facing features in future. And of course all feedback from the thread is being noted and helping us to decide which features to prioritise
Best, Beth
Please even if you add as IAP multichannel midi out would be amazing! This way we can have modules driving other synths via midi which in turn could increase the sales of pattern packs! So it’s a win win for all. Please consider it. I really am enjoying Groovebox thanks!
I love the pattern and sound packs cause they jumpstart creativity and they are professionally made; midi out would push Groovebox over the top!
Chances of anything outside Ampify control ending Midi out about zero, as would cripple hundreds of music apps. Other developers keen to say that this or that feature definitely coming. Ampify, always vague.
Pardon?
Ampify worried about factors outside their control. Question was about implementation of midi out. Idea of midi out vanishing not credible.
Other devs do indeed sometimes do that..... then get slatted for taking ‘too long’ to deliver, or sometimes vanish without trace without ever delivering
😍 I’m stoked to hear that. Thanks for the updates, I make a ton of music with your apps
True. Yet developers DO deliver, too.
Knowing prized feature is part of plan, even if no promise on date, is good, yes?
Just getting the setup ready for the drop on Friday 😬💕🙏🏼

Hey Beth
Will we be able to export our saved GB presets to say audioshare/AUM for example? Thank you for showing GB some much needed love. I have all of your apps & many of your iaps and use them them almost daily, do keep up the great work. Please keep on updating all 3 iOS apps with new feature user requests. Your apps are all amazing so please give them the regular care & feeding maintenance that they deserve & need in order to fully blossom & even shine brighter. Cheers, Susan
Had some fun with the following all flowing through AUM:
Groovebox for all the musical parts
Elastic Drums for the glitchy crunchy drummy bits
BlocsWave for the background vocals and atmospheric bits.
A little lunch time jam:
Sound good. Like Human League, before girls join. Maybe Inhuman League.
Thanks @UnoWoo
I finished a little video to accompany the track. 🙏🏼

Can imagine this on big screen in chill-out nightclub. Good addition of lyric as text.
Many thanks @UnoWoo had to use text cause my wife was sleeping so i couldn’t whisper the words into the mic🤪
Hi,
To clarify- the issue is more that we are a small team of developers, so it's more of a time thing
We do all use the apps ourselves though so completely understand, and midi out is something we've been discussing, we just don't want to disappoint by making guarantees until we actually start working on it and have a better idea of what's involved to make it happen.
For anyone who wants to test out our new features earlier in the development process, our beta programme is still open. If you message us with your email address, we can get you set up.
Best,
Beth
Cool! Thanks for sharing
Beth
Thanks for your lovely feedback Susan, always nice to hear!
Unfortunately Groovebox presets won't be exportable to audioshare/AUM, but if you have any other comments once the feature goes live please do let us know
Best, Beth
Ampify make brilliant apps. Would pay premium price for pro versions of all, with features much requested on this forum. Others say same. But Groovebox now 2 years old, and work on adding midi out not even begun.
I completely agree! Ampify have the greatest half-finished apps in the history of software. I’d pay $100 for a full-featured version of Groovebox. Easily. I’d even pay a subscription for it...but only a few months at a time...and I pray it doesn’t come to that 😆
Check the AppStore!
Cool. Now to learn the art of making custom synth patches 🤪
Guess we can start sharing screenshots of good sounding patches...since our user patches can’t be shared...just like modular peeps do 🤔😬
Next beta?
I’m wondering if that’s so you can’t save the IAP packs as custom presets and give them away to anybody and everybody?
I like to have my own stash, glad we have a nice shortcut now.
Thanks for the update @AmpifyxNovation
Very short video....Poly-8 Can do drums too 😎
Cool, next step will be automation and p-locks for the knobs but the UI would have to change so we can hold down a knob or event to do that since the 'synth' gets hidden when the 'sequencer' is visible
Yeah, automation would take this to another level entirely
I'm happy to be able to do this for now though...tuned Kick will be useful for me
