  • Bought this mostly because I like to support developers with quality apps porting to iOS. I've got plenty of reverbs that I like so don't really need it... Then I started listening to the presets and WOW. This is the business, yo. Now I have to buy the EQ even though I don't need it! Well done, tone boosters!

    The price is deceptively low!

KQ Dixie (1 track E Piano 1)) plus TB Reverb (Shimmer - Majestic preset) and TB Eq

  • That sounds fantastic, @espiegel123

You convinced me to buy it.

The real fun is to be had under the T60 tab: by manipulating the curve handles, you can build up an infinite sustain - a bit like Blackhole. I nip between that and the EQ (which I use more like a filter) to create proper evolving sounds.

Thx for the tip. I'm getting some beautiful sounds!

Wow! This confirms that I found UltraTap the more interesting effect of the Eventide bunch.

  • @DJB

Im finding the dry parameter is a little bit unresponsive due to it being on the edge of the screen when window fully expanded, also I have to move my finger quite far across the screen to change dry, wet, width and delay parameters. Maybe you can so something on this? Many thanks 👍

Yeah me too, my only ciritcism of the app.

Yeah me too, my only ciritcism of the app.

If you are using it in AUM add it to it's own audio channel 100% wet and send the audio to it. Then you can control the dry/wet balance with the AUM controls.

Cheers Joc, yeah can do that, but it’s nice to have the control right next to me in the app, as it can get a bit wild feedback wise. I will do that though, as the app slider is a bit unresponsive.

Might be worth mapping it to a real slider if you have one handy. Also remember to whack one of AUM's peak limiters after the plugin, that can be a great ear saver when experimenting.

My TB Reverb example comvinced you that Ultra Tap is the most interesting Eventide offering? I am confused.

Yes because Blackhole is fairly covered by TB reverb already and Micropitch by AD Discord 4 ;)

What about TB Reverb in comparison with Fabfilter Pro-R and 4 Pockets Visual Reverb?

    Own them all except Pro-R.
Would you buy the Fabfilter anyway and why?

    🙏

Ah, didn't know about the peak limiter - will try and remember to add one.

  • Ill try that when I buy it. Thanks man for the advise.

Hehe, the trick 😃 Is that fooling yourself to like your own voice!?
I've notice that I can tweak my unlikeble frequencies in pro-q so it becomes bearable to listen too. Maybe the fabfilter-R can tweak it even further 😃🤔

I don't think of it like EQ really, it's more that I'm using the reverb to emphasize frequencies that (hopefully) complement the vocal. So a for example a darker reverb in the verse (that follows the timbre of the vocal) and a brighter one in the verse, each tailored to the voice.

  • FYI an update is now available with a visualization of direct and reverberant spectrum simultaneously.
Furthermore all controls have had an important (but subtle) overhaul to improve the look and feel of the app.

  • Thanks for that @DJB
    Really enjoying these apps!!

This reverb is amazing. Beats a lot of desktop reverbs tbh. The shimmer is INCREDIBLE.

Crazy versatile effect. I don’t think I need pro r anymore.

    It is desktop too... 😆

    Probably grad that soon too..
again, can you transfer presets to and from desktop versions?

    Edit.. user presets?

  • The desktop version can load and save presets, and modify defaults when re-opening a new instance. This has not been ported over to iOS but we'll look at this in the near future.

  • Heck yes, thank you for the update. Also release another app so I can give you more money :).

  • Nice update! Thank you.

    Yep, this! 😊

  • Thanks guys! We'll surely release more apps in the near future :-) and keep improving the existing ones.

  • I’d really love to hear or see a video of this😌

Hmm, so I decide to get this one too (I admit it was the shimmer option that did it for me).

I do wonder why they left out the 'analyzer' for the EQ in the Reverb?
It's so nice in the EQ...

Was just gonna respond re: shimmer, but I’m sure you’ve already discovered the LFO. Triggering the level of the 2 shimmers (one set to 7 and the other to 12) with opposite polarity on the sends is beeeeeeautiful. Sounds better than 4pockets to my ears. I don’t own stellar.
