Ps. I was purely raising a friendly question and was not implying anything. I feel you are being a little pedantic.
For future reference most of things I write here are tongue in cheek anyway.
@Bootsy. I was there too. Had a chance to go to the game free and graciously declined. My recent ex live in girlfriend's Dad was Denver's DB coach. Didn't want to lead her on. What a complete bonehead I was. Have fun. Go Broncos!
Scientist for the evil biotech industry. Church pianist. And potter ... please remember Berg Stoneware Pottery for all your functional pottery needs.
Drug and alcohol Counseler for an in-patient drug rehab for kids 13-21
@TheoVoid: that sounds like tough work to me, is it for you? My girlfriend's daughter kind of seems to drift in that direction at the time (I mean: as a future patient, not as a profession...)
@funjunkie27
Nice, have them email me to setup a consultation

supadom i didnt mean to imply my job is harder or i have it worse than others i'm just unhappy with it. other ppl here have some pretty cool jobs tho, the guy doing drug rehab stuff (if he's good at it) i'd say was doing gods work if i believed in god
Yeah man. Totally get you. I'm not entirely happy with what I'm doing as pay is not great. Qualifying as a music therapist this year so things will get better, apart from the looking for a job bit
. I don't envy anyone though, every job has got its shitty bits. Having a creative IT job sounds cool but I know I wouldn't last too long in a computer job. In fact my ideal plan is part time music therapy and part time gardening (my previous incarnation). Need to stay fit. I don't know where you are but there's normally jobs in care sector and if you're musical you may move up from there. Music is a bit of a miracle when it comes to that kind of stuff. There's plenty of community musicians with no formal qualifications who make reasonable dosh and have fun doing it. You need to set up a business and probably invest a bit of money on instruments and time on strategies. Quite often it is just question of getting a group of kids/adults singing and playing. I'm 42 and 2.5 years ago I had no qualification that I would care about and was a bit lost to be honest. Things are looking better though. Good luck and look around you.

I'm located in Ucluelet, having retired here late last year after 35 years in the Cable TV industry (and 10 years before that as an roadie/FOH & recording engineer). Now I live in the rain forest, walk the trails and beaches, and indulge myself in photography, composing and writing.
My wife and I spent a few days in Bamfield a couple of years ago, and Tofino is, of course, just up the road. It's a beautiful and peaceful area to live.

Long time listener, first time caller, so I am playing catch up. I'm 29, from Milwaukee, Wi and I manage a coffee roaster production facility. Don't ask me what that mean.
Currently I work for the Johnson Smith Co. (who? Remember the ads years ago in the comic books & Popular Mechanics/Science mags for Whoopee Cushions, X-Ray Specs & Hand Buzzers? Yup...). I am also a caricature artist & freelance artist; I used to work for a multimedia company started by the Ringling School (now College) of Art & Design where my artistic AND music skills were brought to bear... Good times...

I'm a hitman for a company called snuff out brain drain advertising companies and the adversary's.
A lot of people from the computer field on this forum. I work in IT and sometimes freelance video projects on the side. But someday I hope to play my iPad to a sold out crowd in Madison Square Garden.
Retired Data Base/Internet/Parallel/Clustering developer/manager/director guy that started as a French Horn player. Now just a want-a-be Guitar player and Gadget addict.
It is odd that so many of us have a tech background, but I guess that makes sense too. I was in satellite communications (engineer/mgr) for 30 years but got laid off over a year ago. Trying to get a home care business up and running now. Should be an interesting life change!
Graphic designer, illustrator, photographer in Royal Oak, Michigan... semi-retired as of Jan 2015. Been doing multi-track music compositions, starting with a Mac Plus in 1985 as an advanced hobby (remember Opcode Studio Vision Pro?). I can now shift from being an iPad appaholic, to producing more actual music on the iPad and Macintosh.
CT(CAT) Scan /XRAY Technologist for the largest Clinic in the Midwest.
Electronics engineer- specialising in the repair of synths, effects, mixers, amps etc
I work in eLearning. We like to call it "technology-enabled-learning".
Basically using digital technology to help adults and young people learn new things.
Lots of corporate training stuff at the moment, but previously quite a few innovate projects for school aged kids.
eMedia Director for a publishing/development company.

Professional liar.
I run a team of analysts who develop schedule models for complex engineering projects. These models are used to forecast cost and set budget profiles.
I'm a high school English teacher.
Graphic, then web designer/developer, until I reached an age where no-one wanted to employ an old man so started my own web business and employed myself. Pays the bills, but as a frustrated artist/musician 2015 will hopefully see more of the arty, noisy stuff creeping in. Just joined 2 bands as a bass player so that should get me out of the house a bit. Living the dream in dampest Wales...
Guitar and synthesizer enthusiast, and musical electronics designer.
@Johnny GoodYear You're lying.
