I commend both of you for your faith. I don't do religion. But, I respect spiritual strength and conviction when it doesn't harm others.

It must be difficult to maintain a brave face with all the wickedness in this world.

Yeah man...”religion” almost turned me away/alienated from the faith. But, faith in Christ is a whole other thing all together.

Awesome. There are no winners and losers here, and it's not about that, of course, but whatever; YOU WIN!

Then I realized it wasn't about what I was supposed to learn.

It was about finding new ways to learn.

Because actually there are several principles that seem to be guiding most things.

Cellular to social. Same formula. Always the same. The 0 1 of it all is a bit obtuse.

That is sad at times. But, I find solace in the ability to recognize it.

The unknown is the only thing that keeps it all moving for me.

I have done many things. I have many degrees.

I haven't used any of my University earned degrees formally in years. They almost seem childish at times.

I have had and lost fortunes. I have lost and found my soul.

There are points I feel I literally have been reincarnated in this lifetime.

My childhood and family don't seem like mine anymore. They are like some black and white photo of a historical moment that means so much, but, in reality does not.

I am not cold. I am just.

I am just in my own mind.

I had plans at one point in the late 90s to do time lapse of all of the crazy construction going on around me with an aim to sell it to the builders or owners afterward. That's an actual job? Who knew!

This thread's so old I need to update my information! Been practicing music therapy for the last 2 years.

When i was in a band back in the 90's the keyboard player was a music therapist....he found it very rewarding. Good on you man .. and anyone else who does something to help others.

I do not do anything quite so selfless....I design, implement and manage computer systems for a financial group and manage the IT team.

I like how we are open on this forum and do not mind telling each other what we do, who we are, where we come from. With that in mind can anyone help me with my other hobby......I collect Debit and credit card numbers.... :D

I wouldn't call it selfless, I do be paid for it you know ;)

The guitarist in my current band is also a music therapist and lives few doors down from my house. Complete coincidence.

I guess the band being called The Therapists would be too obvious a thing to do for it to be cool ?
I’m still a Phyisical Therapist working in a different environment than when this thread was last active. Still a bass player too, along with some low level programming skills (?) I’ve picked up since our last conversation. Don’t think I live in your neighborhood but give me a holler if you need a bass player and someone to make farty synth sounds.

How long to be a doctor there in University?

  • @RUST( i )K
i have been to a normal state-highschool. Was not good. I was lucky. a few with bad exam were allowed to study after a year of waiting at these times. Had poor parents. So i played 50 - 90 gigs /year all overGermany/austria/Switzerland in a so called Showband beside studying.

I am quite sure that my company has more rules than North Korea, and i am even more sure that North Korea is much friendlier to its citizens. So this isn't the very best comparison.
