@ElliottGarage i keep running across this “issue” but I wasn’t sure if it was in my head. If I press the record button in the AU in AUM before the first bar, record my part then stop the recording before the bar I recorded in completes, nothing will record. Is this a bug or intended behavior?
When I push the host sync button when egpulse is in in Cubasis, the whole pattern will be recorded. In NS2 nothing happens. I can’t even record the sounds by pushing the pads. Only by pushing the built in keys of ns2, the midi notes will be recorded. Am I doing something wrong?
@robklotzby NS2 doesn't record MIDI out from AU3 plugins, you can find additional info in this thread
@DCJ I'm not sure I've understood...how to press record before first bar?
When it’s playing and you arm it after. There’s no real bar 1 since it’s on a loop but I don’t know how else I’d refer to it.
Ok, thanks. Is this something that will be available in the near future?
No one knows
Features are rarely "near" future in NS2, if ever. Future, yes, near future, very unlikely. This is a high-quality / long-development cycle developer. Always worth the wait IMO.
However, there are some pretty effective workarounds. The simplest (to me) being just host the AUv3 midi plugins outside of the app and send the midi to NS.
@robklotzby You can try contacting NS2 team and see if they're planning to add this feature in the future. Anyway some users suggested a workaround that you can find in this thread, some pages ago (sorry I lost the exact page)
It’s hard for a perfectionist to recreate.. create they must..
Was just ‘settling down’ with EG Pulse and NS2 (if we can only get an Auv3 midi recorders/importers/exporters/piano-roll as NS2.) and the probability feature make this Instrument really really shine.. Song mode is not repetitive.. every cycle can produce a unique variation, as drastic as you want it..
Just want to shout out this great developer.. Thank you..
Edit.. EG Auv3 midi recorder (with probability)?😊
As if his hands was not full enough..
@ElliottGarage
Pure Quality! No request or complaints, just a thanks!
Thanks @RajahP and @Lithalean 🙂
Here’s a nice video from Apps4idevices
Is there a way to route tracks outputs ?
Unfortunately no. The standalone doesn’t implement multiple outs, and no AU hosts support this feature for AU’s yet even if it was included in Pulse.
oh... bummer
Not the same, but you can use multiple instances, one for each routing you want to have.
@Mayo @wim already answered you, anyway I'm currently working on multitrack stems export both as wave files than as Ableton Live kit
Great news,
I can't imagine using it much without being able to take my stems into a mixing platform / DAW
Nice!
oh yea, been waiting fo that. Thanks
Sending imaginary coffee and amphetamines etc.
EG Pulse - Random pattern generation
This app is great but I can’t seem to find it as a midi fx in NS2 where it appears as a midi fx in AUM, should it show up in NS2?
@GrimLucky
When you switch patterns, can you switch sound banks like in groovrider?
Thanks, I was trying to use Pulse to drive other instruments via midi out, can I do this using the audio fx?
@LucidMusicInc not automatically. Each preset has its 16 patterns and its drumkit. You can manually change drumkits however
@GrimLucky I don't know the workflow in NS2, tried in AUM but in the input slot. Maybe some NanoStudio users can answer better than me but I think NS2 cannot manage MIDI out from AU3
Update 1.14 submitted, including a free Ableton Live Lite license
