+1 for that, i’m really hoping some of that synth magic gets baked into Drambo. (Assuming it appears)
Anyway, on top of that it was Animoog, iElectribe, and finally although a bit later Gadget.
that first default preset just draws you in , too bad when I first purchased it was midi bugged and abandoned from future updates
That’s a blast from the past, still have my iPod touch 2nd gen with some ancient apps. Just need to replace the battery, hopefully that won’t wipe the device!
I don’t think anyone has recreated my favorite RjDj scene. The one that takes incoming audio from the microphone and sends it to a crazy delay/reverb in realtime. Many surreal journeys through the city at night with that one!!
Didn’t realise thumbjam was available at the time. Bebot was another favorite. Can’t believe how far we have come since then 😎
Sunrizer, March 2013 is when it all started.
Animoog, Sunrizer, NlogSynth. I remember being like sure, I'll buy Animoog for $10. Also circa 2013 after I got my iPad 3.
Unfortunately I haven't used the IAA ones in years, but Sunrizer is great. JP8000 clone on my iPad.
Gadget was my spiral into appaholism once I stopped jailbreaking.
I had ordered my iPad from Apple, so I had it engraved.
iSequence!, the Sound Trends apps (first one studioHD), IMS-20, iElectribe. Dec. 2010, and it was on with no stopping
Figure, DM1
First music app was iReal Pro, GarageBand then Audiokit Synth one and then...........on and on.....
Me exactly. I installed it on an iPod touch at work and then went out and bought an iPad 2 within hours.
AudioBus ++++
Thumbjam
SampleTank
Beatmaker 1 on my iPhone 3, then I bought an iPad 2 and bought Music Studio, Amplkit and Amplitube, then Beatmaker 2. Wow, time definitely flys when you’re having fun, according to my purchase history I bought Music Studio in 2011!!!! 😮 Thing have come so far since then, RIP to all my 32bit apps btw, your contributions are greatly appreciated.🎖
NanoStudio 1
Music studio still works fine
Animoog! To this day my favourite Ios Synth!
Figure
Audiobus
iMini
ThumbJam, Loopy, Impaktor
Yes, I still have it on my iPad , I just don’t use it much, I like that it has files support and I always did like how a lot of the instruments sound in it, I just meant RIP 32bit apps in general 😢lol. I just remember it seemed like a big deal when iOS went 64bit and loosing non 64bit apps, I’m definitely going to take my time updating to iPad OS, the feedback seems good overall but I have read about things not working for people here and there, but I guess that’s how it goes when you use betas🤷🏽♂️
appaholism Is a REAL thing!!!!!!!! Lol. I NEED the fab filter bundle!!!!!!
Where did Persing rave about GB?
I came from PalmOS, so PianoFly. (Still love it. Learned FM synthesis on that engine when it was MixPad on Palm.) But +1 for ThumbJam, Music Studio, RjDj – and also Mixtikl, and those Amidio apps like JR Hexatone and especially iHolophone…
I already gave in. #sale
@realdawei : Never mind, I found it . Amazing

I moved from hardware over to iOS in 2016.
Gadget and Caustic made me realise how much easier it is to sequence stuff into a fully structured track on iOS.
Sunrizer made me realise just how good a soft synth could sound on iOS (I was and still am the owner of a Roland JP8000 on which Sunrizer is modelled on).
Audiobus and AUM for amazing connectivity of different apps.
Audioshare for great sound file management and editing.
Those are the first apps that were recommended to me to get me started on iOS, and I installed them all within the first week of getting my first iPad, and was instantly impressed, gratified and addicted!
That is not appaholism so much as simple scientific fact.
IElectribe and Ims20 back in 2012 were the first apps that made me consider joining IOS wonderland. The years following brought us Audiobus, Samplr, Genome, TC 11, those days were the peak of creativity in IOS music apps and I’m glad I’ve shared those exiting and historical moments. The first app I purchased back then was Impaktor.
This is a fantastic community,
Long live IOS music
Cheers to you all!

Started iOS music with Figure but what got me hooked was iMaschine, DRC and Xynthesizr. Odd combo but it is what it is.
Thumbjam. Especially with my windcontroller.
Xewton Music studio got it started. Sampletank, Nlog synth. Great memories of the early days.
Samplr was my first app and love on a mini 1st. got me into sampling too
funny, because i got the pad free of a friend who wasn't using it. not sure i would have bought one otherwise
