true about the RAM... not sure why they don't just tell us. (especially now that iFixit does a teardown on release day and physically reads the part number and details on the RAM modules to tell us exact specs anyway.)

about screen ratio, it is always available on the Apple website. The new 2019 iPad will have a 2160 x 1620 screen, which is the same 4:3 screen ratio as standard iPads.

  • Watching the keynote just makes me sick, what the actual fuck, apple, and Tim, is that really the best you can do? Innovation my ass! iPadOS is good news but none of the new hardware is exciting to me. No headphone jacks, face ID with wider angles, big brother watching and listening at all times, prices going sky high, €1600 for a friggin phone?? Phil Schiller? None of these car salesmen have any credibility left for me. I used to get all excited about the latest releases but this? Maybe it's actually a good thing that people won't feel such a need to buy the new gear when the old stuff is still working just fine. I think maybe it's about time to say a phone can last 10 years or so before replacement. Okay I'm getting drunk and there maybe other personal problems but really, I feel like venting, it's too bizarre, all the excitement about a big nothing. There's still Craig, who seems to be alright but I must say all that hype and all the applause for the great new innovations like the very pro color of dark green, are you fucking kidding me??? How stupid do they think their customers are? It's disgusting.

Personally I've been having some issues with the lightening port on my iPhoneX not always charging or connecting to my laptop, so I'm definitely planning on upgrading. Really hoping the new phones have usb-c instead of lightening, since everything else I have is USB-c now.

Use the end of a paper clip to check for pocket lint. It’s impossible to see but happens on every iPhone I’ve ever had.

LOL how many people are going to recommend I clean out the connector when I already said I do that every few weeks? :)

Eh, disappointed. Expected an immediate iOS 13 release.

They have never released an iOS version to the public the same day as their keynote.

Sorry. I responded before reading the whole thread.

😂😂😂😂 so people are really excited for new phones that do the same things my iPhone 6s Plus does??
Yeah they have better chips, but on a phone is that really relevant?😂😂
Yeah they have better cameras, but I can take pictures with my 6s plus and do a lil bit of editing to get them right.
I’m gonna use my phone till it’s dead dead. That new phone money can go to better things. Money for new Music apps for example 😊

Have you tried every few days instead ?

Sorry couldn't resist :D, I feel your pain, I have been without my phone for 2 weeks now waiting for a repair...it stopped charging.

  • Up to now I've always had a so called dumb phone. Works o.k. for me. But going more and more camping again with a backpack a smartphone is handy. Lots of olds kool maps are not being updated anymore. They are all getting more and more digital. :'(

Maybe I'll stick with that new Nokia 800 Tough (KaiOS with Google Maps).

  • Microsoft Office is free only for mobile devices under 10.1”. iPad being marketed for education, new 10.2” format and Smart Keyboard connector can be related to this.
