If anyone has bleass slow machine and zenbeats is it showing up in your auv3 list?

Not showing up for me in my instruments for some reason

Did you try to refresh the plugins list in ZB by tapping the settings/plugins/scan for new button?

It's an FX, not an instrument, isn't it? Does it show when you try to add it as an insert effect?

Doh, sorry I mean under audio effects, my bad

Zenbeats 2.1.1 (bug fixes) released, background audio back in audio settings, haven’t had time to test other stuff.

  • I love the scroll bars. As someone who uses iPhone a lot, I do a lot of scrolling and zooming on the time line. The bars allow me to do so without accidentally moving section around while I scroll. This is a problem with every other iOS daw.

  • In the mixer view under track settings, didn’t it use to be a track color setting next to the track icon setting? Is it gone or am I mistaken here? Where do I change the track color otherwise than under track settings?

    🧐

Never encountered this behaviour in Cubasis 3, as you use one finger for selection and pinching with two for zoom.

It happens to me in Cubasis 3 when scrolling at times. I have, of course, gotten better at avoiding it. It isn’t a huge complaint, but when I spend a bit of time in Zenbeats then come back to Cubasis 3, I tend to miss it.

This really only applies to iPhone for me. When working on iPad I don’t have to be as careful.

  • I agree on the long press. In fact, I like the UI Cubasis better overall. Just that one feature in Zenbeats has been useful for me.

    Anyone?

  • if main mixer plays on channels 1+2 and I am auditioning a loop on track routed to channels 3+4 the loop still plays on channels 1+2 in audition mode. Can I somehow make the loop play on a TRACKs out channel, not on a main out channel?

  • I’ve discovered a bug in Zenbeats whereby in adding some track fades (by pulling the top triangular handle to the right on a given audio track) and saving the song, those fades aren’t saved with the song. Pretty frustrating. Anyone else experiencing this? Matthew Presley?

  • Hi,
Is anyone using the “ Voice DC30 Custom Valve by Nembrini Audio” ?.
I get a mono signal. Tried forcing mono, changing outputs ... Had a similar issue with nembrini Quinta but I believe the “force mono” fixed that. I have other Nembrini amps (Cali, Custom Master...) and they work fine.
    Cheers.

All these other Nembrinis you listed don’t have an audio settings menu standalone, where you have to choose stereo output. Did you try that with DC30 first?

I did it try it and rescanned the plugins. Sorry for double posting... 🙏

  • I think I found a huge bug in the clip editor, I believe it’s got to do with the new “select and fade” in the wave editor under clip loop mode.
When you have the same audio clip used in multiple slots, it doesn’t loop properly, seems it doesn’t honor the current settings.
Here’s some screenshots to explain it:

    Same audio file, different behavior.

    • instance A does it right. It’s silent in the first part and then comes in.
    • Instance B starts at the correct position but doesn’t loop, when it should.

@MatthewAtZenbeats is this a known issue?. I could post a video if it’s unclear.

Your loop points are in different spots on each pattern. We now have Loop sections and Crop handles that operate independently of each other.

    Hi. Thanks for the reply.
Precisely, they should be independent, but it seems like they’re not. Pattern B is not looping when it should, weird, it seems to stop playing at the point where it “stopped” on the previous pattern.
I tried it with one of the short stock loops and i can’t reproduce with those. I made a video hoping it’s understandable. See how the guitar in pattern B stops sounding halfway through the loop.

  • Hi,
I believe I found a bug in Zenbeats automation. @MatthewAtZenbeats You might want to check it out to see if it’s actually the case, I believe it shouldn’t be hard to fix.
I was going crazy because automation wasn’t working for my tracks. Automation would show for some tracks but not others, very weird. It turns out it seems to do with multi-output instruments and track count.
I have a Drambo multi out drumset, 8 tracks. When it is collapsed Zenbeats seems to make a mistake in counting the tracks. If I hit the automation on the bass track right under the collapsed drum track, it actually edits the track 8 down. So if I try to do automation to a track that’s further it does no automation at all, if I’m editing track 15 it’s probably looking for track 23 which doesn’t exist...
If you run into this problem just expand the collapsed track before trying to automate.
    Here’s some screenshots demonstrating...

  • Does anyone have a good workflow with uaing iaa apps with zenbeats? Is it syncing aum with it somehow and then importing the saved session wave file into zenbeats? Looks like they never will implement it like cubasis has, so im looking for the best workaround.

Syncing with AUM via Ableton link is probably the way to go. You can sync start/stop commands. I do remember having an issue where Zenbeats would start a bar late, like a one bar countdown before starting. If you are meaning to record a IAA synth in aum You should be able to do so and them import into Zenbeats.

UPDATE: I restarted my iphoneXS Max and the bugs have gone..

@MatthewAtZenbeats hi, I’ve just updated on my iPhone (iOS 12.3.1) and now I can’t draw midi notes by touch, even selecting single notes doesn’t work. The only way to get notes in is to record, but editing is impossible due to Select tool not working..

Hmm That was a bug that was specifically fixed. What device are you using and can you send me a screen recording of your steps

  • Hey all ZBers! Do we have an option of routing audio from and into ZB after last update? I checked my free version of ZB and still do not see it neither in AUM as sound source nor in Audiobus. Am I missing something?

    Nope. You’re not overlooking anything.
