miRack Patch Share
I'm super excited about miRack coming out, thanks @mifki!
Wanted to create a thread to share patches and patch ideas, separate from the app discussion.
Since I'm new to modular as well, I'm keeping the architecture of my patches relatively simple.
In this patch, I structured things somewhat like a Roland SH101: single oscillator, a vcf, no filter envelope, vca with amp envelope. I also included a delay and a spring reverb. The sound goes through compressor before hitting the audio outputs. Dropbox link below.
There are also two midi modules. One for notes input and another Midi to CC module for controlling cv/parameters of different modules. Here, two points are patched to CV inputs on the oscillator to shape the sound. Just change the source on the top midi module to play with an external controller. In the video, I'm using Velocity Keyboard over Bluetooth from another iPad.
There's a keyboard module as well for playing the patch from within miRack. Just change the cv/gate outputs from the midi input module to the outputs here. Scopes are good for visuals.

This patch is called - Simple Harmonics
Download the zip file of the patch and unzip it in Audioshare and then open the mrk file in miRack.
Long term, @mifki will long for a better solution.

Great idea.
I tried to open sharing the preset from Dropbox to mirack but it crashes everytime. Also saving in file app and open with mirack doesn’t work. Anyone else faced this problem?
Ah, sorry, looks like Dropbox is making the file into a zip file. Going to remove the link and try re-adding tonight.
Haven’t tried opening yet but great idea - thanks for sharing.
Cool. Is this something that can be hosted on PatchStorage?
Crashes here as well. Tried to remove the space in the file name, still crashes.
Yeah, I can add there but I believe the dedicated section to miRack isn't up yet?
Yeah I noticed that during some operations, like sharing, miRack patch, which is normally a folder with .mrk extension, becomes a zip file. In one of the next updates I'll definitely support opening such files, but at the moment unfortunately the app crashes. You need to manually unzip it back to a .mrk folder to open in the app.
Thanks @mifki
Looking forward to PatchStorage too.... but in the meantime we could just download a zipped Dropbox file to AudioShare, unzip there, then select the .mrk folder to “open in” mirack?
Yeah this is the best option. I updated the link above with a shared folder of patches. Download the zipped folder of the patch and open in .vcv file in the zip in miRack.
Here’s one I made. Let me know if anyone can get it to load. I wasn’t able to open @auxmux ‘s file(s).

Can confirm, I can get it automatic loaded in MiRack
Loaded ok for me thanks.
Boy, this is GREAT stuff.... not very simple to me haha.
I hope we will be able to mix these modular playground up with out beloved Verb plugins - droney days ahead
@Pierre118 @ajmiller Awesome! Thanks for the confirmation.
I just zipped my miRack file with iZip and copied it to Dropbox in case anyone was wondering.
I wasn't wondering
I wasn’t able to open auxmux’s either, but yours went fine. Download to AudioShare, then unzip, then move your .mrk folder into the mirack folder in files app. The patch itself opens in, but you don’t get the preview thumbnail and patch title unless you move the whole .mrk folder into the mirack folder.
I have to try again tonight
not near my iPad at the moment. #werk
Werks
@skiphunt Works great cheers.
I’ve obviously got something screwed up with my tempo connection. I’m new to this so I’m not sure where I went wrong with that. But I’m having a blast messing with this app.
Edit: I just switched the output on the Metro from Start to X12 and changed all the notes on the Arp to whole notes and it seems to be working better. At least now it recognizes when I change the bpm. I put revised file on Dropbox.. here’s the revised link. https://dropbox.com/s/2it9r2yvxu68oi0/Beildrode.zip?dl=0
Hey all, updated link here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4erq6rprem8vmcf/Simple Harmonics.zip?dl=0
It’s a zipped file like @_mwallace patch, so you’ll need to extract and then load into miRack. I tried it and it’s working for me. Let me know.
Anyone know how to save the patch when it’s modified, while retaining the original creators patch?
Or do I just duplicate the patch in Files, then rename one of the files?
Because I might have totally effed up one of the creators patches and I’d like to go back to his original idea but I’m not sure how to, short of deleting, and re-exporting
Yeah duplicating first is the best option before tweaking.
Worked here.
sent riffer to it. Thx!
I exported to Audio share and unzipped it. From there exported to mIRack. Works great.
Thanks ya aux. this miRack is fun and gonna be amazing after we get a way to put it in Audiobus or auv3. Excited.
Ohhh, nice!
Ok, I have really no clue what I’m doing... but I made this little weird thing.

Crashes for me. The only one Ive gotten to work was the one that was zipped, unzipped in Audioshare, then loadednthe .vcv file in
