@echoopera Hey, nice one, good to see more posts!
@richardyot This last one is giving me Zappa meets Freddie Mercury vibes, very cool!
I went a little wild with this one...
OH. MY. GOSH!!!! This is incredible!! 💪🏼
@3sleeves that’s a very clever mashup! You love making cultural references in your work
Today’s effort: “ornament”:
@david_2017 Thank you!!!
@richardyot Definitely love to draw cultural references, almost like a visual art version of making beats with sampled sounds.
Not just any ornament...the Cadillac of ornaments 😉
Day 18: Misfit
Misfit toy, Charlie-in-the-box, as a member of the Misfits.
The prompt was sling, reckon some call it a sling blade...mmhmm.
@3sleeves @richardyot Really enjoying the new drawings. Really great job mates.
Thanks - I'm a couple of days behind now as I didn't have time to draw this weekend, I'll have to catch up in the week. It's really hard to keep up the pace though.
@jwmmakerofmusic thanks again man!
@richardyot the pace is definitely a big hurdle, I usually post a few late ones myself.
Tread headed bad dude, one of the many odd characters from Power Rangers. That show is weird.
Catching up, two days late now: “sling”
That's awesome. I like the perspective on the anchor and the way you rendered the water.
Thanks! I have to squeeze these in before bedtime, so at most I have an hour to draw them, and at the end of the day when I’m really tired, so it’s a challenge to do anything decent!
Well I'd say that's pretty decent at the very least. You're damn talented, you and @3sleeves both.
@3sleeves I remember that particular baddie from Power Rangers. That's so well done.
Today it is treasure we are asked to reveal
And so it shall be revealed 🙏🏼💕
I'm totally digging the aesthetics and the drawing itself! 😎
@richardyot Awesome perspective, really cool!
@echoopera Nice one, dig the style.
Treasure reminded me of The Goonies...
@richardyot I’m lucky enough to have a couple hours after work most days, the first couple years I tried this it was harder to get into a rhythm though.
When I know time is gonna be tight I try to start sketching out the next day’s piece early. This drawing challenge drains me, but one upside is that I usually get a few album covers out of it for Jamuary music releases😎 My wife and kids are super supportive too, their encouragement is a major boost. They’re great for brainstorming sessions, always full of ideas for drawings.
Now the distraction of universal NS2 and the upcoming 4pockets AU multitrack recorder are looming...must...keep...drawing!
One of my favorite “ghosts”
Running late, gotta catch up. I’m skipping “tread” and “treasure” because I can’t really think of anything for them.
Here’s the latest two, “ghost” and “ancient”
@3sleeves thanks again for starting this thread 👊🏼™️
October 23 = Ancient
A little twist on the word:
@echoopera Thank you for sharing your awesome artwork!
@richardyot Dig these, especially ancient...could be Beavis as an old man.
Here’s my ancient piece, could turn into an album cover...
Nice work on the Ghost one @richardyot
Thanks
Today’s prompt: Dizzy:
@richardyot Right on!
