  • @Simon I have Samplr and I quite like it. Need to spend more time with it though, esp the multitrack part of it. I'll download the yellofier free version and take it for a spin, cheers.
@gburks I don't know what to say man. I've watched all of the demos of effectrix and liked them then I used it with built in loops and programs, my own loops, then had it in AB effect slot processing ielectribe with loopy hd controlling the sync. It is ok but if you're expect it to be like more controllable turnado you may be disappointed (just saying). You should definitely watch all the YT videos you can before you get it, just in case ;)

I may invest in anytune thing when I feel rich but for now will stick with what I have.

All you need to sample audio of youtube videos is the free version of AnyTune plus the $5 export enabling in-app purchase. It only imports the audio from youtube videos and you can set loop markers to export only a selection. You can have the resulting m4a "Open In..." into Audioshare.

  • Cheers @shortbus I managed to import a song from YT and set the loop marks but how do I export loop only? I don't see any trim on the app nor in the manual? I haven't purchased the export IAP because want to make sure it does all I need before doing it. Is there export loop only in export options maybe?

  • Ok, got the upgrade and managed to copy the loop. Turnado and effectrix don't like it though, probably due to format?

Audioshare will convert almost any audio format to another. Try .wav.

  • You're right @TedBPhx I was getting thoroughly confused with all of the new apps I had to learn in the last 24hrs. Especially anytune being a little quirky and needed to use manual at times. So now: anytune into audioshare into loopy/samplr/turnado/effectrix. Cool, all makes sense now. Cheers.

Hey guys, long time haven't been here so just checking into this thread. Any new MPC style apps? Whatever happened to that UVI Beathawk app? Did it get released? Do any apps how support 24 bit samples? I think it was dream machine that was the only one like a year ago that did. Lastly, I saw that iMaschine was updated recently with Audiobus but how's it compare to BM2?

Thanks in advance and hope you're all doing well.

Really? It's a groove workstation based on samples, it's a sampler.
I don't have it so I don't know if you can load your own samples, but nonetheless it's a sampler. You can buy lotts of IAP samplepacks. Why you think they call this thing SAMPLEtank?

  • I think it's a verb thing.

Ok I stand corrected. Sampletank is a rompler! Sorry folks.

  • No problem Greg, It is a nice romper but I wish they had better expansion prices though.
