Thanks yea it says my code has been used by another account so I just emailed Pascal again...
Got a code from Pascal within a few minutes of emailing him. Regardless of how he ended up here, feel bad for the massive hassle this must be and the stress of dealing with frustrated customers. Thanks to him for working to make it right for folks that already owned the app.
Two thumbs up for responsiveness - he got back to me within an hour or so with a code. Fantastic.
Now here's a strange, unforseen benefit - I have two completely separate instances of DM2 on my iPad. Kinda neat - not sure what I'm going to do with that, but amazing effort from the dev to keep this app alive!
An update is out that fixes the drone machine bug
Looks like this got fixed, just delete the ‘old’ app and re-download from your purchased apps
Pascal was swamped with requests, and got back to me really quickly twice. Hats off for handling it well and making it a painless process.
Props to Pascal for helping me sort this out. Wonderful, quick customer service.
Wish he had other apps I could pick up to show support.
Same here. I received a code within minutes from pascal but this whole thing is just screwed. I feel bad for him. anybody can just e-mail him and say they bought it when they didn't and they get a freebie. I don't think there is anybody ill-intended in the ios community as a whole but who knows.
I hadn’t thought of that. I contacted him via my iTunes email figuring he may check that against purchases, but you’re right.
Developers don’t get any identifying information from Apple at all about those who have purchased their apps in case anyone was wondering about that.
Yes, this situation is really unfair. How can we help him? Making a donation? He was very kind to me too and very quick to respond, I think he deserves help from our community. How could we go about organizing a fundraiser? I'm really ignorant of these kinds of things.
I did buy it a second time and in return asked him to look into the drone synth bug. Which he did almost immediately. Super helpful and responsive developer.
The bug isn’t completely squashed, unfortunately, but it’s less obvious / annoying.
