Ok thanks @rs2000 might need to grab em both then! Can you comment on how flexible/musical the generative capabilities of SPA are? Or is that deficient hence cue Mozaic?

That totally depends on what you want, how you compose your music and how your prefer your workflow to be.
If you have Mozaic already, there's plenty of material to explore on patchstorage.com and the more you've tried out, the more you'll have an idea about what's your thing.

@Stuntman_mike you may well have found the best route to a software-defined NDLR (as close as is feasible anyway) so looking more at these 2 apps... another question i have is how much overlap would you say there is between Chordpolypad and Steppolyarp? Chordpolypad appears to have its own arpeggiator for example

Good question! Are you referring to the strumming option inside each pad?

Well yeah that kind of thing and any other overlapping capabilities - in short I’m trying to understand what is unique about each one that sets it apart from the other

ChordPolyPad is the Swiss Army knife of chord pads and StepPolyArp is the Swiss Army knife of arpeggiators! They both do their primary function better than most apps. Of course they are both from the same developer so they aren’t designed to overlap as so much they built to work together. I liken the strumming feature to the strumming feature in the Arturia KeyStep 37. I bought my KeyStep just before the 37 was released so I really wanted to be able to strum chords without paying extra to upgrade to the 37 then I found ChordPolyPad! $15 is better than $50. Both apps are worth way more than $15 each after you start using them. Just buy them!

Mozaic, Drambo, miRack, or Audulus are all capable of reproducing cool hardware/software. Another cool controller: Squarp Pyramid!
