Hey congrats! No better salesman than Jordan .. I did a Korg workshop in AZ with him in the early 90’s .. super nice guy and obviously a monster player. Hope you guys will further develop this plugin (app) and add more goodies and sound packs in the future.

Bug report: I just purchased the Silk Road IAP, but sadly most sounds in it don't work, and I get an error message
@taqsim: any idea or plan how to fix that?

    (iPad pro 12.9'' 4GB / 256 GB from 2017; iOS 13.3.1)

I have Silk Road too, and all the patches work on my iPad (iPad Pro 2 12.9” 4gb/IOS 13.3), but the Erhu is not looped properly and clicks as the sample repeats, and it doesn’t seem to be multi sampled so that you have a very limited range that you can play before the vibrato turns unnatural. Silk Road is definitely not one of the stronger packs.

I agree some samples unfortunately is not well pitched, but my side they are all working. iPad Pro 2018 12.9

    Maybe a corrupted download?

  • I get a lot of sticky keys if played with midi controller.

I deleted and re-installed the app, the restored the IAP. Same result.

Thanks a lot for the info, so I'm hoping for the best...

  • All, our apologies for the delay - I didn't see that there was a second page of comments.

The Silk Road IAP was corrupted, we submitted an update and it was approved by Apple. If you delete and restore, it should be ok. If not, we are pushing out an update this week that will fix it for those users unable to get the new version. Additionally, we will be providing a fix to some controllers that have stuck keys and the ability for users to redownload packs if there are updates without having to delete and reinstall the app. We are working on fixing the loop points and sound issues mentioned. Thank you!

Setting a proper tempo for drums is little tricky - first set the tempo with unaccurate and dirty knob then click on the save icon around the rythm name - is this the right workaround?
Nice sound module, great samples but we need this thing as auv3.

  • Nice app. Would you consider adding a diatonic keyboard? Something like Animoog, with Animoog’s built-in expression too.

    yes please

  • Hi everyone! We just updated our app to v2.4 - it now includes pitch & mod wheels and a host of other fixes, including fixes to a the loop points and crackling (the only one we're still fixing is the Erhu). Thank you!

I like some of the sounds and bought a few packs today to show willing but I would really like to use this in NS2, so AU3 for me as well please :)

  • If I were a pretend Thom Yorke stuck inside a Tunisian remake of The Third Man I would def buy the Kavkaz Express pack just for the Tar Boxy, Tar Plucky and Tar Vintage sounds. Lovely expressive stuff. Of course he would want them AU3 as well :)

  • Anyone been successful controlling it with a diatonic keyboard app?

  • @taqsim The Oriental legacy sounds are still available to purchase if one decides to upgrade right? I think they sound great :)

  • In app help doesn’t seem To be working for me and the regular web page throws off errors too.

Is the drone Pitch controllable by Midi?

I’m holding off upgrading since I really like the oriental sound pack in my version!

    That’s two of us!
I have bought a couple of the other IAPs, though.
The app is a powerful little beast.

  • @fprintf, I upgraded a while back and didn’t seem to lose the free sounds.

i also upgraded an lost them. it's a bummer because i bought the app before it went free.

  • I‘m still on the old paid version because I had the feeling to loose sounds if I upgrade, it wasn‘t clear for me.

@taqsim can you please comment on that?

  • @taqsim yes I would love to know what's going on? I bought your app several months ago and have loved the sounds, but now I only have some 10 free sounds and all the others are behind an IAP.
Looking forward to hearing from you

  • All, our apologies. The "Oriental" sound pack that was available was for the users who purchased the paid version of the app.

Also - we just added Splits & Layers to the app in v2.6 by key split or velocity layer. That means you can have all three sounds going at once, have a bass split, or have the lower split be a mono or poly drone sustain while you solo on top.

AUv3 is in the works. In full transparency, we're waiting on the next version of AudioKit as it will make coding AUv3 that much easier. While we're waiting we're going to be providing the ability to load custom SFZ sounds or custom loops for the drumpad.

  • Win a years subscription to World Synth! That’s a total unlock of one of iOS Music’s most interesting synths for 12 months. Details of how to enter are pinned below my video on YouTube.

  • @taqsim Guys, great work with the app. Sounds selection is truly unique and unlike anything else on iOS platform. Just one request: please put your sound packs on sale from time to time or/and perhaps create a bundle of packs for a lower price. Thanks in advance.
