[edit ... oops just saw this was already answered. I need to read the full thread before jumping in.

You can set the midi channel used by each control surface, so you could have the left side set for one channel and the right for the other, then use AUM or whatever to filter out the channels you don't want on each app.
I can only recomment the Sensel Morph. I have it for about a year, and it has proven to be a reliable controller at home and for travel. For transport I use the original cardboard box, also to carry the other layouts dust free, and there's place for a small brush as well. It pairs very well with the iPad and some MPE synths, especially with the Moog Model 15 app. Make sure to have the Configuration set to 'vertical slides as modulation' and of course MIDI input to MPE. I use mostly cables (Morph USB to hub, hub to iPad) for the connection, but Bluetooth has also worked well the few times I tried.
thanks for those infos.... so do you configure it in a pc before ipad use then?
Only if you want to change the default controls. Otherwise it’s ready to go out of the box.
awesome! i may have to grab one i don’t use my seaboard very often
Couldn’t agree with @Phil999 More. Man I’ve been editing with the video overlay in LumaFusion and edits that take an hour take like 10 minutes now. It’s so tactile and agile and versatile....love it love it love it 😍
Why don’t you use your seaboard @reasOne ?
You’re almost certainly going to want to change up some things though, so I don’t know if I recommend it if you don’t have access to a Mac or PC to manage it.
This is a fact 👆
Yeah, this is another gripe to add to the 'I'd love iOS more if...' thread. It's so not cool for companies to make devices and market them to iOS users without also making it easy to adjust the settings on iOS rather than having to switch to a Windows/Mac to do this!
i still got my macbook pro she runs greeeeat
I’m imagining the Sensel CEO telling the presenter “Oh and Greg, wear our swag during the presentation okay.”
“But Eric, all we have are those red tee’s in small...”
“Greg, wear the fucking shirt.”
I'm having problems with the Buchla Thunder overlay. The alphabetical pads all respond fine, but often the numerical pads do not respond to my touch. Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions? Having this problem across multiple mpe synths. The piano overlay is working fine.
Ah, damn, just realised the firmware was not updated. Seems to be fixed now after an update.
Nope, still some problems, better than before but still not perfect. Anyone else?
Just spoke to someone who is also getting this even with USB connection.
@Gavinski are you sure you don't have pitch bend disabled.
As i can tell Sensel have implemented CC messenges both from lettered and numbered pads to be disabled when pitch bend is disabled
Thanks, it's not disabled, pitch bend is working great, and touch sensitivity is at max sensitivity. @Instrumental_reason
What MPE synths did you use? I have a Morph so I can test it
Thanks Pierre, I'm basically getting this problem with everything. Even with USB connection. Try phosphor for example. But anything will do. I wonder if the overlay is somehow defective (just got this) . No problems with the piano overlay, only with thunder.
I tested the Morph with the Buchla overlay with several MPE synths like FRMS, AniMoog, Model D etc. But the Morph responded perfect on a any pad. I intend to believe there is something wrong with your Morph.
Which model version do you have? See the back of the Morph.
Mine works fine. Have you tried different presets? ( hold down upper middle button while changing numbered pads). Maybe the preset you’re on is the issue.
I have - it’s not a preset issue
Thanks for that - model is S0001
@Gavinski I have model S0002
Matt from Sensel told me that they updated the Morph. Maybe this has something to do with your problems.
When I initially emailed him he thought it was a Bluetooth problem. I'll wait and see what he says given that I'm still having probs even on USB. It's a pity because this thunder overlay is damn fantastic!
If it is/was a bluetooth problem than all pads must suffer of it, not only the numerical. It looks more that the top row of the Morph is not responding very well anymore.
And yes, the Buchla overlay is great.
@Pierre118 yes, it's clearly not a Bluetooth problem. Thnx
So I sent Sensel a video and they confirmed that this is a firmware bug. So if any of you are not on the latest update, probably advisable to hold off for now.
Is this a newer firmware update?
Not sure, I guess it must be, I just got this so I can't compare with older versions. Trust me, you don't want this bug, so don't update if the upper part of your Morph is working normally. The problem is particularly noticeable with lighter touches and sensitive playing, but can also be noticed on even hard strikes occasionally. To test it, it is good to try playing pad sounds very expressively and see if you get any missed notes.
