Glad you are finding those magic pairings too. Some fx just makes this instrument shine. I would be shouting about this from the rooftops, if it didn’t have such a annoying name!![:p :p](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
What other gems do you never shout about etc? Just got washed in @Samu's suggestion. Welcome more![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Yeah, I'm also enjoying the Synthmaster One Desktop IAP. Too lazy to roll my own presets at the moment
I did import a bunch of wavetables into SynthMaster One some time ago (The Adventure Kid waveforms).
I bought the iOS sounds IAP for SM1 just before it went half price doh!
I have just noticed SM1 won’t load for me in AUM

Sorted now![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Dialing down some of the Alteza vastness, but not finding it obvious (to me) how to save new presets in AU....any clues?
Once you fill in the name, click on a blank save slot
Long-tap on the presets name and give it a new name to save it...
(That is if you wish to save Alteza presets).
Doh! Thought you meant in Syn lol
This is amazing, I used a Synclavier as my DAW and sampler/synth through the '90's and this is practically the same thing! My system then cost $225,000 and this $20. And this has more memory, etc. I’m glad efx weren’t added, keep the treatments external. All it needs is the resynthesis and sequencer.
Thank you gentlemen!
My sweet lord that sounds incredible from 2:48
With one knob, this is effectively the same path that Yamaha etc took with the DX7 and further, parameter buttons and an entry potentiometer.
I guess it would be a short WTF Does This Knob Do episode? 😀
"Everything!"
Yes, but that big knob on the original keyboard handled like a fine sports car. And combined with the military grade buttons.....perfection!
The Knob is what makes the Synclavier sync ... with your mind
(and the touch implementation is crude at best, intentionally I suspect...)
And don’t forget that fine hardwood cabinet.
Well it’s not the same but in this case it’s the closest to the original experience. I was very disappointed in the Arturia version, it just doesn’t sound right, it feels like an emulation while the iPad app sound is cleaner. We are pretty damn lucky to have these tools so easily available!
Both emulations are by Arturia, but the numeric processing varies (Intel/ARM).
Imh ears (only knowing the original from videos) the IOS version has a different 'soundprint', but a very unique one which doesn't resemble any IOS synth I know.
Much appreciated that they only covered the 'classic' synthesis engine and left out all the graphic sample stuff of the PC version.
Version 1.30.20
Now a Universal App for iPhone and iPad, this updated release of Synclavier Go! is compatible with all iOS devices running iOS 9 or later (Sample Playback and AUv3 require iOS 11).
Yes, I can now play with the button from everywhere
Pleased to see them getting serious about this synth.
Sounds great and is fun to program.
I just bought it, looking forward to trying it with my roli block pad later.
Version 1.30.22 is out:
Added Synclavier Selects Volume 2 Timbre Library with 100+ new restored vintage soundfiles. Also fixed a problem with the MIDI sustain pedal.
Most of the presets in this app are so playable and full of ‘emotion and feeling’ it’s kinda scary how lifeless most other apps sound in comparison...
It's lovely, and expressive like an FM synth. Has that zing. Takes me back to 1980s SciFi films.
But I've already forgotten how to use it.
The newly added timbres are REALLY nice. I'm shocked at how accurate the instrument sounds are. Just dropped my video on this today in the other thread: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/38243/synclavier-go-fac-alteza-daveypoo-the-mobile-music-minstrel#latest
Every time I start to work with this and want to make some new sounds I just get lost in nostalgia😏 still looking for that broken wings choir sound
