Not sure if I should get this for desktop or not. It's already become my favorite iOS synth / granular instrument but... when trying the demo on a 2014 MBP I get some serious pops and crackling.
edit: wow, just noticed I posted to the wrong thread entirely.
I have a Marshall JCM(don’t remember) combo dual bulb amp. How does the plugin sound, I’m really interested.
I was going to buy the Mini Moog (I love the iMini) but ended up buying the latest Arturia flagship: Pigments. I also used the opportunity of the “stay at home” to buy the presonus Studio One Pro 4. I owned Notion from before, both on iOS & desktop. My main app besides Pro Tools. However I’ll be leaving Pro Tools because of the idiotic licensing of Avid. I like to buy & own instead of renting software. Call me old school, but I’m proud to be that
I just heard about Studio One. Looks intriguing. What is its strong point? How do you compare it to, say, Live and Logic?
New app just released from chorus audio called chorus sampler https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/chorus-sampler/id1504461035
sadly it is subscription based but it’s free to try out and download. No auv3 but has iaa and Audiobus compatibility
I don’t see the subscription, only an IAP purchase for the full version.

Tried it for less than 30 seconds kept getting the subscription pop up. So instant delete!
LoopFind is my go to Sampler at preset this doesn’t seem a touch on that.
Dammit. I just bought Beathawk a few weeks ago! I wanted a decent AUv3 drumming app to use in Auria Pro and wasn’t sure about EG Pulse yet. Haha figures.
@Kühl I personally have never owned a real Marshall amp or Guv'nor pedal, so I can't really say how "authentic" it sounds.
@flo26 on this site has a great video that allows you to hear the Nembrini JCM AND THEIR "Guv'nor" pedal:
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/38630/nembrini-fuzz-screamer-the-boss-and-mrh810-how-to-add-them-for-changing-gain-and-grain-structure#latest.
He also has other YouTube videos featuring different combinations and artist styles.
Just a heads up I know Klevgard, and Wotja prices go back up on MAY 1st. I don’t know for sure but would wage a guess that Virsyn apps might change price on that day too.
So yea get em while they’re hot. Last 2 days to get some of these sales still going on...
Poseidon is $9.99 and i finally got it...I heard mixed feelings from those who tried it but it’s been incredible. Really all of Virsyn’s stuff is.
Thanks for the heads up!
Must remember to pickup barkfilter!
Whats the beat klevgard app in your opinion?
I think I got their mastering app during this sale
That’s the annual subscription price. Not buyout.
Hmm, subscription means that I don't even look at the app. Thanks for clarifying.
You my friend, are a saint. Just downloaded Live Lite not realizing you needed a key. And now I have one! Thank you for posting this! (Got it from Koala)
This is on my wishlist for a long time. And now people prase the TripleBand magic.

But I always skip on it
I cannot buy any more itunes cards for now, so I'm tryind to decide what to get...
Current contestants: Bark Filter, Hillman, Kronecker, DAW LP and FRMS
No worries. If you have any Korg apps like Gadget, it also has it. Same with Patterning, Triq traq.
Have fun. I gotta use Ableton now that it's free for 3 months but I haven't had the time to.
Not music app per se but good for lyric ideas... Word Map Thesaurus usually $2.99 now FREE
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wordmap-interactive-thesaurus/id1448580560
Self A Fuzz is $1 off down to $00.99

@senhorlampada definitely kronecker or frms you couldn’t go wrong with, god that’s a tough choice
This thing is pretty crazy.
Sure beats flipping pages in my giant Roget’s.
Thesaurus looks great for inspiration, yes, nice share
I bought both of them. I’m still trying to figure Kronecker out, FM is difficult for me to wrap my head around but I love the rhythmic buffoonery it makes. FRMS May be my favourite synth of all time. It sounds absolutely fantastic and I think begs you to play around with it. And it sounds soooo good.
Yes, FRMS is both amazing sounding and very easy to use, I absolutely love it. Live input and mpe compatibility are killer features. I like kronecker a lot too, but haven't got round to properly figuring out how to patch things there yet. Too much app-buying, not enough deep study of the ones I have in most cases. But I hope I'll get round to it soon because I adore the sound of all the iceworks synths.
@Poppadocrock thanks for that. I love entomology... I mean ethnology... i mean etiology....I mean etymology There is Wordflex free as well, with limited lookups per day.
Wow, amazing! I was searching for a thesaurus, too. This is a neat visualization, I have seen it before with Discovr (which does relations for music artists)
UNPOPULAR OPINION BELOW
This is heresy but the barkfilter tripleband is like believing in angels. It adds brightness and makes your mix louder. That's it. Why everybody believes that an app that is otherwise unfriendly has a single magical preset that makes EVERY TYPE OF MUSIC better is a question for the ages.
Apologies if this needs to be removed since it's not on sale, but I figured it was worth a heads up for folks who dig word map:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wordflex-touch-dictionary/id488540344
Been using this app since my first iPad, many many moons ago, it's great, can be used as a thesaurus also.
@rivermonster
I don’t mind, it is free to try, and dirt cheap to buy.
On top of that, it looks super-awesome.
Thanks.
@Poppadocrock and @rivermonster these are the kind of apps that may not directly be music related. But does spark that something you sometimes need
Thanks!
Gotta thank you guys so much, @Gavinski and @ahallam... sure pointed me in the right direction. Kronecker may sure show up in another sale soon. DRC is one of my most loved synths. gotta pair it with its new sibling
Cheers!
