I thought it was supposed to be no longer available?

No longer available by prohibitive pricing.

Close to no longer available, but not quite, and with added complications.

  • It has to stay in the store for potential updates. if they were removed it you couldn’t re-download it From the store and it wouldn’t be able to be updated... this price changing thing is interesting though. I’m curious about the reasoning.

I thought there were removed apps that are still there in your app list if you bought/downloaded before?

Beyond that I'm no App Store aficionado. Just seems like the won't be available thing has gone out the window, to be replaced with some crazy and potentially problematic pricing structure. Changing the prices, having sales pretty much suggests they are still trying to sell it. :/

  • Emulating thrift shop appeareances of ol' hardware

  • Next app seems to be a drum machine dropping on 9/9...
    So maybe a SH-101 clone on 10/1?

That would be awesome. But also sad because we’ll have to wait another month.

    AWESOME SALE!!!!! Bass 808 Synth + AUv3 Platinum 🤣

Stupidest crap I've ever seen. What if someone spite buys it and immediately gets a refund at $999? Dev is out $300.

    Well that is their problem

  • And still I don’t think the refund rumor is true .

Damn! i missed the Sessionband offer because I'm not receiving the Appsliced alerts...also the latest SessionBand Fusion app doesn't appear on Appsliced, and it's free with in app purchases at the present time.
But most of the others were only 1€ unlocked, now they're back to normal price.

  • Soup Granular has gone free for a limited time only.

    https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/soup-granular/id1358214341

It states on the App Store description...

’Try before you buy! Add custom input with in-app purchase’.

I’ve already downloaded it and tried the IAP to unlock the custom input.

It seems it’s not ready yet.

It also appears to be standalone only.

  • Soup was always like 20$ so this is a sick grab. It works on my iPad and is a trippy sound toy so far.

Holy hell. Thanks. I believe it’s usually $10

  • Ah I see...nevermind. Still kind of cool

I quizzed a developer friend on this. He’s never been out (of pocket). But doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

Soup granular was so disappointing for me when I got it.
I have never refunded an app but I wouldn't iap unlock it for sure if it was demo free at the time.

  • Patterning 2 Drum Machine is $15.99 — down from $19.99.

  • Loved patterning 1
Never felt the pull of patterning 2, due to the cost and not being au3.
If it ever goes 50%, I would get it
But if you never owned patterning 1, I think you would be a very happy person if you picked up patterning 2 at this sale price

  • where’s the dag on labor day deals! my trigger finger is ready

Yeah. I got all of his apps, but I thought P2 came too soon after P1. Never justified the upgrade here

Oh yeah. I forgot in US labor day is in september! Should be today (or tomorrow, depending on your time zone )

  • Not only is it Labor Day in the US, It's also "Labour" Day in Canada, eeeeeh?

    Take-off, you hozers! 🙃

  • Of course Labour Day in Canada also marks the beginning of toque season!

How complicated to integrate Patterning 2 into an AUM or Cubasis workflow? How easy or complicated the synchronization (tempo change, start-stop) is? I had issues with syncing DrumJam (which is a great app), so finally gave up.
I wouldn't buy Patterning 2 if the syncing is similarly cumbersome.

  • Pretty easy to sync, turn on inter app audio sync, midi send and receive with cubasis as target. Add audio track in Cubasis, inter app patterning 2 for routing. You can then play, pause, rewind and record without swapping back to cubasis screen.

  • @GLacey

I have no problems syncing Patterning2 with AUM.

    I don’t have Cubasis so I
    can’t verify that for you.

    Host sync, midi sync and
    Ableton Link start/stop all work.

  • @Lil_Stu07 , @Gravitas , Thank you!
I use to struggle a bit with creating good drum grooves, drum tracks. I saw a few videos on Patterning 2, I really like its concept. I have a feeling that it could help me to put together better drum grooves (that fit to my songs) by making the workflow much easier.

  • @GLacey

    No worries.

What is really useful is the ability
to have different swings for each
    drum sound.

I also like the auto-rotate function.
I do find the samples folder a little clunky but that’s me, saying that the drum kits you can download are cool and I like the fact that it has multi outs.

    Have fun.
