Down from $2.99 to Free
i mean for free i’ll try it!
Cheers for that.
Thanks for Plotony. I installed it on my iPad. But maybe I'm dumb, but I don't understand why this app could be interresting.
Yea there’s not much to it other then the cool looking midi to visual representation.
If you like fireworks or shiny things you'd probably dig it.
For desktop looks like a good deal.

If you own Reason the new update gives you Beatmap player for free.
I jumped a bit as I thought they (finally) updated iOS (Reason Compact) version and added this somehow
. Strange post here. Sold my Reason License about a year ago but I have tried Beat Map, it's pretty cool.
Quantized random percussion is easy. I have two methods to suggest:
1) Nodebeat Midi out driving your drum app.
2) Rozeta Particles driving your drum app.
@Wrlds2ndBstGeoshredr : yes that’s true (and I do it all the time using Particles to drive Fractal Beats, with 100% wet Zero Reverb on top - lovely!), but I particularly like the ‘circuit bent’ tonal qualities that Skiid effortlessly generates with it’s Chaos button. I will often use it in combination with Fractal Beats/Particles ( and many other ways, as the whim takes me), so I’m not short of random hit options, just hoping to extend their in-app utility within Skiid itself.
Freebie from Kilohearts.

@Krupa i dont know if it’s necessarily the same as skiid, but i built a random percussion generator in drambo just a little bit ago

you can add a randomization modulator to any of the effects too to get a really wide array of percussion.
BLEASS Alpha synth, $5 off

So I’ve asked about Wotja before, I am playing with the free one and can totally see how it could be nice to have. Does anyone have Wotja pro? If so how do you like it? I’m just getting a hang of how to create and I think I could use it for ambient intros and backings quite a bit... but I want an opinion of someone who has it?
Some discussion in this long-running thread, and this one for the current version, but the short answer is that it's an absolute must-have if you have the slightest interest in generative music, and the 2020 version in particular has seen some killer new features (pattern sequence editor, Mix-level scripting) as well as a phenomenal new collection of drone presets and templates. It's a rabbit-hole app, but how deep you go is entirely up to you; there's an enormous amount of instant gratification available through the Flow presets without even needing to go into the generative engine itself, but if you do you can do just about anything with it. I particularly like it for scripted self-recomposing dronescapes and Fugue Machine-on-acid randomised melodic fugues, but it does do lovely backings for modal and droney playing, and a lot of the time I'm just listening to Flow radio and saving things that catch my ear to work on at leisure; you can work with it completely top-down using built-in algorithms, completely bottom-up rolling your own from scratch, and all points between.
The current sale is on till the end of the month, but there's usually another in December ahead of the 2021 paid version, which last time around was itself launched at a discount. Don't forget that, if you want to try the full feature set before ponying up, you can just stump up a month's sub on the free version with a month's sub and then cancel it, which will effectively give you a month's demo for a couple of bucks, and if you wait till December to do this you can then get a taste of the 2021 version when it launches within the same window. (But I always grab the current year's version before the next launches; they've given notice they may need to raise the baseline system version to iOS 13+ and Catalina for 2021, though it's not yet clear whether that'll happen.)
. Thank you so much for this breakdown. This helped a lot, at the sale price i think imma pick it up, based on what i am able to do in the free version i can only imagine how deep it can get. I guess imma jump in the rabbit hole haha
+1 ... it earns its fee simply by virtue of the breadth and depth of the supplied templates, if all you wish to do is automatically generate new ambiences at the click of a button. Sometimes I just open it and use it as a meditate-o-matic, and just keep clicking or trying different templates till I get something which matches my mood. I usually don't have to wait too long. And you can capture your favourite ones as MIX files for further tweaking.
But as @Masanga says it is a rabbit hole, and it goes VERY deep, and pretty much everything can be controlled which gives Wotja both its power and breadth. I'm starting to get some control over the overall outcome as I've focused one area of functionality at a time, but it can be overwhelming espcially to begin with. But it's worth chipping away at it to be able to tweak the sounds.
7xWave Sample Synth Sequencer is $2.99 usually $4.99

I also have it, though have only scratched the surface of the extremely detailed manual. It's really powerful, not the prettiest UI, and intimidatingly detailed settings menus, but these guys know what they're doing and it can sound really good. It's one I keep meaning to delve into properly, just haven't made the time for it yet.
So much for 'Limited Edition', hopefully the AK-909 drops soon too...
$3.99 now. Yeah, they need to drop the 909 and not announce the next one until it's ready to drop. 2 months late is kind of ridiculous.
Heh....
Yea as much as I love Audiokit and all, you got a point.
Yeah I love audiokit as well. But this honestly has me kind of frustrated and questioning their game plan, seeing how their apps before the limited ones have been so neglected when they've had many many reports of being broken. I would prefer they work on d1 and fm player before releasing any new apps after this.
@Lil_Stu07 agree with you on this. FM player constantly crashing for me. ive had issues even with bass 808 recently. clicking, sticking notes, crashing.
