i haven’t purchased any of the “ limited edition” apps since i have constant problems with the ones i’ve purchased, is it the ak coding or ios?? i’m not sure, i do love the team and the apps but i have several broken sessions in aum and zenbeats with their apps so i’m just holding off with future purchases for now
Never would have thought that
Aye, though about it...
Change the Limited Edition to 'Limited (AppStore) Exposure'
Arturia V Collection 7 50% off

4Pockets Multitrack Recorder is $2 off, down to $7.99. 4 pockets has constant sales but Paul has so many apps now, if this is one you’ve been waiting for, snatch it up. Cheers.

As inconsistent as Audiokits AUV3 implementation has been (DM1 and FM, I’m looking at you), I hope the 909 delay has been spent on technical performance. If so, let it cook team!
None of my unfinished projects would have been improved by a great sounding app that I can’t rely on.
I have to agree, I stopped trying to use D1 and FMPlayer because of the crashes. It’s a shame as the sound of both is superior.
I will always support the AudioKit guys, but they could fix these before moving on, IMO.
Please guys, report as many issues as you can to the AudioKit team. They more problematic scenarios they know, the better.

I will write to AudioKit also. I experienced crashes of AudioKit apps in GarageBand so many times I stoped to use it as well. It's sad.
Maybe it’s a new limited “color scheme” this time, like coloured vinyl haha.
For those bashing the 808 sale. It was because the co-creator of the app, Jeff, had his first baby, Roland.
He's happy and they decided to share the happiness and love
Congrats.
Hope they don’t call the next one “Korg”.
That’s nice to hear!
Congrats to Jeff. Why such a fuss, there’s no real rules to this game... Also it’s still limited if the app is only on sale again for short time.
The rule of the game is if you want people keep buying your apps release quality... the PR is great but the rest, so far is disappointing
I was so excited at the thought of a D50 on iOS. The D1 does sound good but let’s face it, it just doesn’t work in a DAW. I’ve forgotten all about it.
Yeah... agreed. Maybe like with gear that goes up in price, but you can find it sometimes in yard sales, flea market, etc for a cheaper price
Matt's mum passed away in October (this is public info, he announced it on Twitter), so try not to be too hard on him for the delay in releasing the 909 folks. Delays are always going to happen with apps, and sometimes for very valid reasons.
FRMS anyone? HLF PRCE... almost...
Thanks for letting us know. First time something useful came out of Twitter.
My condolences @analog_matt
iWavestation is the next best alternative. I know I know, it's not AUv3... hope that Korg will "fix" the remaining apps soon.
Do you think can we (users) somehow help the developer AudioKitPro with issue that Digital D1 and FM Player 2 as AUv3 crash every time trying use it in DAW like Garagenband and others? It's sad that so beautiful sound can not be used in compositions
Send them email, I guess
Not sure if they use trello or something, but I know some devs, depending on the project, share their kanban flow so people can know whats on the backlog, on development, etc.
Yup just gonna post... only $7.99 usually $13.99

Yea their stuff always spikes cpu too
That’s totally true, but I didn’t mean the actual apps, just the whole limited edition thing
yeap, I did it a few hours ago to common address [email protected] with the same question...
Nice. I forgot to mention another option. Maybe a shoutout at twitter too...
I know Matt is pretty active there
Re AudioKit app stability. Matt has posted that the newer apps (post D1and FM Pro) are built on an updated AK library that is still being worked on which provides a more solid foundation than the version D1 and FM Pro were built on. He said that a fair amount of work needs to be done to rewrite the older apps to use the newer version of the SDK. It isn’t a simple matter of recompiling. So, it will be a while. It is essentially being built by a team of people that have other jobs and families, etc.
The AudioKit project is an ambitious one. People that get bent out of shape by missing deadlines don’t understand that it can be hard — even in non-pandemic times — to know how long software development can take. Sometimes you think you are almost done and discover a bug that requires you to do a lot of rebuilding.
And if any of the people have families, being productive when you are supervising your kids’ remote-school is a challenge.
+1 There is a world going on outside this forum. Seems like we forget that sometimes.
