limiter for idiots

Like try and stay below 4-5db gain reduction when the loudest things are going on. Make a duplicate of a session and play around with it. You can turn it off if/when you have someone else do a mix or master.

    it seems like with effects like reverb and delay and it all personal taste for the sound design but with limiting / compression it’s more specific then personal...it still comes down to personal preference but with a bit more restrictive cuz you have to do some things right

    Probably not, Barricade has some saturation options that Pro L2 lacks, but for that use case TB Reelbus in a slot before Pro L2 on the Master Bus would be money better spent.

    Pro L2 has the best metering of any limiter on iOS by far, so it would be my personal choice every time. Barricade is a close second though.

    no, i think @funjunkie27 was reading the thread title as i did,, in the current climate some kind of mechanism to suppress idiocy might be nice.. @reasOne is on it :)

    haha of course that tech would be very useful. it would be chaotic for a few months as all the world’s leaders lost their ability to be idiots , but i think we could recover nicely

    It works well as a limiter as well as an expander.
