    When we start developing AUv3, we were having a memory problem that would break all the instances open of our products if a certain amount of memory was surpassed. In order to prevented that, we have intruduced an hard limit of 5 instances. So yeah, that's our hard limit working.

    It has been a couple of years since we have started delivering AUv3, I need to see if that is still a problem and remove that hard limit.

    @Gavinski Can you run 4 copies smoothly?
    I'm on a Air 2019 and two copies is max for me if I want to add something more than FRMS and it's not many plugs I can add before it's start going "red". It's a wonderful synth but very heavy.

    I've never tried that but highly doubt it. It's an absolute cpu killer for sure, but one instance alone can do so much with 4 layers of great complexity

    On An IPad Pro 2020 It Works With 2 Copies
    When I Tried A 3rd They All Crashed
    Also The Cloud Sync Is Not Working Well
    It worked at First But After The 5th Patch Stoped Working
    And the Rest Of the Patches Are pending
    I logged out and in again but no luck
    I think it’s a bug or something
    Is there anyone else with the same problem ??

    Just (finally) got around to buying this (Saturday morning treat etc). Sounds fun/interesting/challenging, BUT....simple question (probably):

    In NS2 I can draw in notes, but playing the FRMS keyboard is not recording the notes as I play them. I'm presuming there's something that must be checked or changed or enabled? Can't be a bug surely, must be purely user ignorance (as ever)?

    Can we break down the problems here?

    • Crashes? Which presets? Any specific? All?

    • Cloud sync not working?

    We need to check if midi events are being generated and sent to host

    New FRMS beta is now available (version 1.4.0, build 55).

    Two new nice features: A new preset pack called "Sounds of Guitar", and a new play mode "Start".

    In this new mode you can select a point to fire your grains that will be independent from your grain loop region. When the grain enters the loop region, it will act normally as before.

    Hope you like this new version =)

    Love this Synth, but I can’t get the “crop” function to work. I record a sample, the crop icon lights up when I select a región but nothing happens when I press it. What am I doing wrong?.

    We would be glad in hearing feedback for other features of this release:

    • the new start feature, that allows the grains to start before the offset position. Have you tried it?
    • new pack of sounds (Sounds of Guitar).
    • removal of hard limit of instances (It should now be possible to load more than 4 FRMS without problems)
    • async load of audiofiles prevent the UI from blocking during that process
    • using three fingers in the built in keyboard should delay the release of the keys

    There was in fact a problem in the crop feature (and another with the modulation matrix reset).

    The latest beta (build 57) has fixed those two problems.

    This beta has also improved the "start" feature. Now it is possible to choose the start point beyond the loop zone and you can use it with the backwards mode too.

    I reverted to the App Store version a while back, and I can’t remember if I needed to back up my presets before switching between the beta or not. Does anyone know what happens if you just switch without backing up?

    It should be ok as long as you don't delete the app.

    I have an odd problem with the current version (not the beta) of FRMS. All my favourites that aren't factory presets are greyed out when I select Favourites but not when I select the separate packs. Anyone else seen this?

    FRMS was updated to version 1.4.0 with the following changes:

    • Add new preset pack "Sounds of Guitar"
    • Add new grain start mode feature
    • Fix aftertouch in AUv3
    • Fix tempo in standalone state load
    • Remove AUv3 instances limit
    • General bug fixes and improvements

    Yes, I have this problem too (in latest version 1.4.0); must be a bug... ( @sinosoidal )
