This is a midi issue as midi cc’s are coarse. Midi only has 128 possible steps for cc’s. For smoother operation either narrow the percentage range or use pitchbend if AUM can use it. Pitchbend had 16,000 possible values.
Great info!! Ive been struggling with the same parameter/midi connection on a few granular software synths. It’s a fav for manual knobby fun. Wish its was just as smooth as lfo modulation.
You should find an app that can modulate by methods other than MIDI. I believe that both Drambo and ApeMatrix can modulate AU parameters from non-midi LFOs (so the modulation is higher resolution). The issue is MIDI not the AUv3 parameters or the synths.

Hmm, it would be cool if it was possible with some sort of midi smoothing (slew) auv3 in between. Or a slew/smooth setting in app.
FRMS had an update today.
Also @sinosoidal on the FRMS page of the Imaginando website there’s under system requirements it lists “iPad Only” - thought I’d share to update that since iPhone is available!
@sinosoidal I’ve got emails from Imaginando that they are getting rid of their cloud service and that users should back up any of their custom presets before updating.
I’ve purchased most of their IAP preset packs, but haven’t installed/downloaded my purchased preset packs to all my devices (to save space)
Aren’t those purchased IAP preset packs also stored on their cloud service? If so, will I lose access to purchases IAP preset packs that I haven’t downloaded yet, after I update to the latest version that kills the cloud service?
Or, are those not stored on their cloud service and instead on Apple servers that can still be downloaded even after the cloud service is gone?

I think there is a clear misconception here. The cloud sync was a service that allowed saving presets to the cloud. Your own custom presets.
Our in-app purchases will always be available for users to download and re-download, any time.

Speaking in expansion packs?
What do you feel about FRMS expansion packs? Do you like them? What's your favourite?
Are there any specific sample-inspired presets that you're missing or would like to hear?
The wind instrument packs are my favourite.
A pack aimed at just ‘airy’ organic and synthetic sounds would be my choice. Not really sure how best to describe them though. You know, the sort of synth sounds where you play something and you immediately are flying above the clouds or looking at the most picturesque landscape…..yeah I’m not helping am I lol

I'd also like something like fruitbat's suggestion, sounds that aren't dissonant in nature, pads and leads that can be used to create a nice ambiance immediately

That’s what I assumed, but wanted to confirm before I update. I’m in a remote location at the moment and can’t update anything until I return back to having fast internet. Just asking before I can update in another week or so.
I like most of the purchased packs, but it’d be cool to have a more symphonic strings one.
I would love a pack with some sort of “empty templates” suitable for importing my own samples.
The existing packs are great, but they are very recognisable = I never use them in my own productions. I always change the source files with my own material in search of something unique- based on your great programming skills. I’m not experienced, patient or skilled enough to start from scratch so I kind of use your packs as templates
It would be great with some sort of presets aimed this kind of workflow

There is a new feature in the latest update of FRMS 1.11.0 which is called sample lock. It will change the preset but not the sample. You could load a sample to a layer and then activate the sample lock and by simply swithcing preset you will have different results. Maybe this will help you.

Is there a way to play the four layers in FRMS independently, let’s say with different MIDI channels for example? It would be interesting to have four synths in one.

Ideally I would see this as an option that allows to assign individual MIDI channels to the layers, and not just cover a range of our channels. Individual channels would allow assigning the same channel to more than one layer. So we could have two synths with two layers for example.
