Maybe Choirs? And Percussion & vibes? Thank you, ED

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Does anyone know field recorders here in the forum?

  • How come, after this update, that I have to re-download all the previously purchased libraries??

Yes, that's a side effect due to internal changes. I don't know if you have noticed but the most of the parameters now have units, something that didn't happened in the previous FRMS version. That required a migration of the presets and therefore the need to redownload the in-app purchases content.

Oh I see, I understand. Thanks for the clarification. And by the way, another request for more PerplexOn presets please!

Hi all. New here, from France.

I enjoyed FRMS with my Linnstrument but I have a problem with aftertouch assigned to Offset in the Matrix. I activated MPE on both, but the Offset doesn’t seem per note, only global. Channel aftertouch on Linnstrument.
When I press a new note it changes previous notes offset.

Is is possible to have Offset per note ?

I can open several FRMS instanced in AUM but it it isn’t convenient.

Edit : I assigned pitch to aftertouch, same problem. I wonder if aftertouch is global, or per note as it should with MPE.
MPE works for X / Pitchbend.

I'm not sure about aftertouch, but I'm pretty sure cc74 works polyphonically. Does the linnstrument send that, too? If so you can find it in the matrix under mod (not really intuitive, that they reused the modwheel slots for it, but it works for me).

Sorry, I just read this now. I've worked with them quite a bit, are your questions answered already?

I got it to work, you have to assign Mod to Offset in the matrix. In FRMS MPE mode, they will then use a separate CC74 for each key and this becomes Mod instead of the mod wheel. It's not obvious but it's how it works. I think it is the same in DRC.

I also tried Quanta 2, there you just assign CC74 to Position and in settings enable MPE mode.

Edit: Ah, now I see @tyslothrop1 mentioning the mod issue, didn't see that first (perhaps he edited, or perhaps my reading was lazy).

  • Hi.
Yes Linnstrument can send any CC with Y and Z.
Not intuitive indeed. It seems to work. Thanks!

So MOD receives CC1 and CC74 ??? Is CC74 the only CC with MPE modulation possible ?

  • Another problem : if I hold a note and plays another one repeatedly faster, it cuts the held one.

The polyphony is limited to 4 voices, and if I can’t hold a note it is very limited…

  • Because the lastest updates I Tried FRMS again today , but seem that the old pitch bug is still there: in live input playing with the keyboard doesn’t gives the correct pitches. I’m waiting for years to have this feature available, any word on this @sinosoidal ? Thanks!

Here is a video (non registered) showing the bug at the end. Internal keyboard.
    I didn’t play very fast !
Edit : I can reproduce this bug with Default project, MPE off, only one layer, no grain but osc. :( IPad 5th generation.
(At the beginning it shows the result of MOD to Offset.)

  • @Sezare56 That’s a known issue we need to address. I believe this problem is common across all our products. Since FRMS on iOS only has four available voices, it becomes more pronounced. The good news is that we’ve already fixed this issue in VS, and we’re aiming to have it resolved in the next FRMS update.

Ok thanks for feedback ! It seems to happen after 4 hits indeed.

What about aftertouch and modwheel with MPE ? Are they global and respond to main channel only ? (Channel 1 I guess)
I am not sure how to use MOD in Matrix if it responds to CC1 and CC74. Maybe CC1 Channel 1 for global and CC74 for other MPE channels ?

Pitchbend and CC74 seems to be polyphonic, I wonder if there are mode MPE control possibilities in Matrix.

  • @xglax any word about the pitch bug with live input? Thanks

That willl be fixed in FRMS 2.0 which should be released this year.
