I made a Multi layer preset of synth bass drums and it’s heavy on the cpu. Each kick synth is on a different key.
Each pattern uses a different kick.
Is there a way to lower the cpu consumption by deactivating the synths that are not used on a pattern ?

Drambo has extensive modulation and morphing facilities.
Theoretically you could build one rack that can do all the bass drums. Routing can be done using Amp and X-Fader modules, soon we'll have a multichannel mixer with level modulation inputs for each channel and dedicated 1-to-n and n-to-1 routing modules in the not too far future.

Are you using the same synth multiple times with different sounds?
If so you could just use the synth one time and get to the other sounds by using scene morph ...
So pattern a belongs to morph scene a, pattern b belongs to morphscene b, and so on

Yes multiple instances of the synth.
Good idea. I’ll try it but I think I’ll stick to samples for now.

But wait a minute. 🤔Is there a way to assign the morph scene change per pattern ?

Interesting idea. This could very well be a future step component in the pattern sequencer.
I'll add it to the Drambo feature wish list on forum.beepstreet.com.

  • Really wishing for midi import/export in this beauty.. would change everything..✌🏿👌👍🏿🙏

  • Can it RECEIVE midi clock?

You can host the full-featured Drambo AUv3 in the magic Audiobus 3 app to run it in sync with MIDI clock.

I do that with a lot of apps, -run through Audiobus to sync to midi clock coming from my Yamaha PSR e453 keyboard.

I'm really just looking fro apps that can respond directly to midi clock in standalone version. GrooveRider GR 16 is the best example.

These are very rare. Loopy HD, Beatmaker 3 and KORG Gadget are other good examples.

Would be cool To import midi. In the meanwhile I route midi device out to and record to Drambo. I made a template for Patterning and Rozeta rhythm

    Cool!

    Thanks

  • MIDI clock sync will be here soon. For now the only option to sync Drambo with midi clock is to use an AU host.

Yep one of the best midi recording I have seen.. but for a speedy work-flow.. Imagine just importing midi files.. and p-locking, etc.. then exporting..

    I’ll pay for this feature..

  • Poly edit mode is great! This is a great little improvement.

Can you explain why for the dummies?

If you have a chord on a step you used to have to add and delete each note component, or redo the whole step. Now when you're in edit mode you just touch the step and the keys are highlighted on the keyboard. You can edit the chord by simply toggling notes on and off.

    Got it, thanks!

  • Why is Drambo keyboard not the same octave as other keyboards?

C3 in Drambo is C4 elsewhere.

That's just a thing with MIDI. There's no definition for octave numbering in the MIDI specification, so different apps choose different octave numbering schemes. You just have to adjust to it.

Sure! And it can run at a speed different from the project bpm.
