Minimalist exercise: you only can keep 5 iOS music app! Which ones?
Ok, I plead guilty; like 99% of people on this forum, I probably buy to many iOS apps. I dont need 22 synth, but, hey!, it's cool. I buy many many app just to try them and I use them 1 time each 2 years.
Just for the fun of it, supposed that you have the obligation to only keep 5 music apps on you iPad, what would be these apps?
For me, this is probably gonna looks like this:
1- GarageBand (Yes, I know, but I'm not a pro and I love this DAW and it's very simple to use).
2- EOS 2 Reverb
3- Poly 2
4- Kaspar Synth
5- Re-Slice (or Samplr, not sure).
Wow, its tough. I may change my choice in 2 min. 10 times.
Let's see your answers.

This thread will have a consequence on me; I will buy more apps.
• Amplitube : because I'm a f$#% guitar player and this thing is brilliant.
• Drambo : I don't know what it is... but I love this app. Powerful, nice gui and addictive. It can do so many things well...
• Tonebooster reverb: warm, clean and deep. It feels good on any type of track.
Zeeon: best synth on ios if you are like me and love the analogish 80s kind of vibe. Buy the iaps aswell... filters are gorgeous.
Cubasis 3: well... it is very very buggy. But it's the only linear daw that I like on ios. What can I do? ... wait till logix maybe..

Five apps is not minimalist, at least in my book. Should be three apps at most.

That's too hard for me at present, but I have actually been thinking about how to narrow this down. Think of it as something like the 'live box' that modular people have and get to know back to front.
This is a lot more interesting, btw, if ppl explain their choices rather than just making a list.
AUM
1 synth.... Far too hard to choose, probably FRMS as that gives me a mix of live input, using samples, granular and mpe (though currently the live input doesn't work well, and mpe only works on default settings, not on your own sampled presets ). Or maybe Spectrum for its versatility and slightly more organic sounds, also mpe.
1 drum machine....probably Elastic drums, maybe Noir
1 FX app, too hard to choose.... Maybe Kosmonaut for both delay and looping. I almost chose enso, but Kosmonaut is more versatile and hella more stable.
One of the Nembrini amps for saturation and distortion, maybe bst100, tough choice.

The app that I see the most: Drambo. It is just the "new" factor or I miss something? I don't have this app.
If I only get 5 apps I'm buying an Android Tablet. How about which limb can we chop off?
Or Sophie's Choice.
OK... thought experiment:
AUM - DAW
Mozaic - MIDI FX
Zeeon - Synth
AudioLayer - Sample anything
FAC Alteza - reverb for trips to Mars
SCARTCH THAT: I should probably use NS2 instead of AUM, drop the synth, sampler and reverb.

People are choosing it because it's basically the iOS equivalent of Sauron's ring, except it isn't evil (well, apart from threatening to make every other ios app obsolete 🤓)
