    The truth?

    1. Samplr
    2. Patterning 2
    3. Sector
    4. Blocs Wave
    5. Audioshare
  • Auria with IAPs ;)
    Koala
    NSK 2
    Pure Synth
    MagicDeathEye

    1. NS2
    2. ShimmerFX
    3. FAC Bandit
    4. Perforator
    5. Rozeta

These are probably self-evident but NS2 gets all the big stuff done, ShimmerFX does the only thing NS’s reverb doesn’t, FAC bandit just makes everything better, Perforator and Rozeta have the arp and easy rhytmic modulations that speed up the process immeasurably and are simple to use.

  • Ruismaker
    Aum
    Mozaic
    Viking synth
    Troublemaker

  • I only have 4.... this is too easy :-)

  • Auria Pro
    Cubasis 3
    Cubase IC Pro
    Audioshare
    KQ Dixie

    Easy.

    Ampify Groovebox
Ampify Blocs Wave with full unlock.
    Audiobus 3
    Garageband for iOS.
    Ampify Launchpad.

    Aum
    Drambo
    Ruismaker Noir
    FAC Bandit
    Lemur

Lemur is an outlier, it was my main iOS "music" app for years and I use it to control a lot of hardware. But its not in my main setup currently. The other 4 would allow me to compose and run gear into my iPad for live processing. I could probably "recreate" Bandit in Drambo and pick a synth that Drambo can't replicate (Phonem?) but I don't want to :P

    NanoStudio 2
    Patterning 2
    Samplr
    ChordPolyPad
    Nembrini Delay3000

I'll handle the stems on desktop instead of Auria Pro (it really is a very good delay).

Five apps is not minimalist, at least in my book. Should be three apps at most.

    NS2
    Quantum
    Samplr

It's basically: NS2 covers most of my iPad music making needs. The other two do things NS2 can't do and inspire me in ways NS can't. Quantum and NS2 work particularly well together because NS makes multi-timbral operation dead easy.

Also, all three work well with external gear. NS2 doesn't do MIDI clock out but the others do and all support LINK which essentially gives NS2 MIDI Clock out.

Loopy and Patterning would prolly my next two.

    AUM
    Drambo
    Bebot
    Samplr
    Fugue Machine

and I would cheat and keep:

    Scatterbrain and all Brambos apps
    and all Humble tune apps
    and Loopy HD
    and Bleass filter & delay

    and mirack of course

this exercise is painful...what's new on the app store?
