WoodScaper combines into one unit the 4 classic guitar effects : phaser, chorus/flanger, wah-wah and tremelo. Besides the familiar controls each effect has some extra not-so-commonly-found options. The 4 effects can be routed in series (pedalboard mode), parallel (DAW mode) or some combinations of those modes. Panning or the Stereo control can create stereo sounds from a mono input source. WoodScaper is both stand-alone and an AUv3 effect.
All LFO’s can be set to different waveforms : Sine, Square, Saw Up, Saw Down, Triangle.
All LFO frequencies can be set to a bar fraction (1/4, 1/8 , …) of the BPM or can be set free to a specific rate
(independent from the BPM).
All LFO phases can be reset with a button.
All effects have an On/Off (parallel routing) or On/Bypass (serial routing) switch like on a pedalboard. The switches can
be toggled by Midi CC’s.
Phaser has settings for number of poles, frequency range and modulation flavour.
Phaser has second LFO to modulate filter Q.
Chorus has feedback, HighPass, LowPass and Saturation.
Wah-wah control can be LFO, Envelope, Envelope + LFO, side chain, Midi note velocity or Midi CC 1 (mod wheel).
Wah Envelope has Attack, Release and Threshold or Sensitivity controls.
Wah can go up or down.
Wah filter type and Q can be set.
Tremolo has 3 types : Amplitude, Ring or Harmonic.
Harmonic Tremolo has cross-over frequency control.
Tremolo has a Threshold control to have more tremolo when the signal increases.
Tremolo has “Biased Tremolo” mode to get more tremolo when the signal decreases.
Has a global Input and Output Gain control.
Has 2 extra LFO’s to modulate most parameters (rates, depths, …)
Modulation LFO’s have their own slew rate control and a random mode.
Presets can be stored in iCloud Drive (makes them available on all your devices).
Presets can be switched with Midi Program Changes or a Midi CC (up or down)
Major controls can be set with Midi CC messages.

Ahahah I thought that I was the first to discover this new Wood series app😂😂😂
You are so damn fast @gusgranite 🤘
Now that I have stopped buying new apps for a while I am seeing them EVERYWHERE! 😂
@gusgranite I have to stop Myself also. It has become a mania.
Is this by any chance something lofi related stuff like
Cooper FX Generation loss pedal
Shallow water pedal
Or the instant Lo Fi pedal?
Any beta heads around?
Man, I feel you. This looks great, but I know I want to get Wov which looks like it will satisfy my Tremolo needs, and classic fx does this too.... But I have been kind of craving one of Woodman's apps for a while. And now he's gone and put 'scaper' in the title which makes me REALLY want it haha. His apps are so pricey though by fx app standards!
Is there a presentation video of the app?
Why is there no video of this on YouTube, lol. Please someone buy this and stick up a quick tutorial
Hah, just when i sold my GFI System Synesthesia this comes along.
Purrfect ( as Tigerkings archenemy would have said)
Updated first post with app description.
Thought it was a new Rob Jackson app for a minute as thought he taken a Patent out on the word Scaper !
This is so tempting but I’ve been getting so many apps of this nature I’m trying to restrain. This dev makes really good plugins though so it’s difficult
I’m out of funds atm and a lot of apps are coming from some of my favorite devs.
This is unfair. 😔
I didn’t know Woodman done bundles got myself a deal on lofier!
Could anyone confirm that the old woodman’s website doesn’t seem to be opening for some reason? Just hangs for me, had the same problem yesterday.

Works for me @Gavinski
This one came totally out of the blue. Woodulator is permanent favorite of mine so I’ll have to take a look
Wow, that’s weird, I can’t open at all, have tried with vpn and without. Any chance you could send me the manual or whatever documentation he has about the app on his site? Would really appreciate that. I ended up getting this despite knowing I should resist. What can I say, I’m a total slut for tremolo and gated effects in particular. It sounds fantastic! Glad I got it, and will push out a tutorial later probably to correct the complete dearth of online video on this app.
@NoiseFloored
Never worry - I played around with vpn settings and finally got in. Seems there is no manual nor even a mention of it on his own site yet actually, lol. App is pretty intuitive anyway.
@NoiseFloored
@Gavinski - Got this from the Dev link in the App Store

Oh, great, thanks a lot
Having a nice play with this, why is it getting no love I wonder? It's really superb.
Purely guessing here, but it seems like a saturated market on IOS, with plenty of very expensive players and mid priced players who have already have a lot of sales and fans. It doesn't seem impossible to carve out more room, but I'd wager it'll take a bunch of soundtest room, haq, etc. Style videos proclaiming it's brilliance to get steam on these forums.
Like I said though, Im no expert, that's just my best guess.
True, true, true. Tons of stuff has come out in the last few weeks. I really like the Wood apps, even if they can be tricky at times. But this one is really easy to use, and it sounds great. Instant gratification.
Yes but I still find it strange because I often see longer threads about apps that come out from devs with no track records, aren’t even AU etc. This is a quality app from an established dev, is AU, perfect interface for iPad etc, good usage potential for most types of music etc and yet it generated so little interest, definitely find it odd.
3:56 is what I am after... can this be done with this plugin?
Thank mates 👊🏼
@david_2017 certainly to some extent, though I think something like Reelbus might be more capable of this mix of lofi / flanger / echo / wow & flutter etc.
Along with Reelbus, RE-1 can do this kind of thing. It’s great for lo-fi hissy tape effects with wow, flutter and also has a tape looper. It’s very good.
Woodman apps have scraped under the radar for me too. Will have to investigate further — they look very nicely designed.
They are very well designed, I like a lot what I have seen of his stuff. The recent update also adds a killer feature (which was suggested by your truly, cough cough 😉), to allow morphing between lfo waveforms for seemless variations. It's a really good feature imo.
@klownshed @Gavinski
Thanks for the insights. Have Reelbus and Kais plugin too. So I am covered
Thought that the woodman brings something unique to the table
Seems by the way like his apps are on sale now, look cheaper currently than I remember.
@david_2017 It does bring something unique in the waveform morphing, but in this case I reckon RE-1 and Reelbus might do the job for you, yes
