I don't won't to be the one that mentions it but anyone have any luck loading a .tun file?

Yes, I was able to load several different .tun files.

@skiphunt In Phosphor 3 each parameter can be modulated by up to 8 sources (LFO 1,2, Velocity, Aftertouch, Pitchbend, Modwheel, CC74 and a random source) - just double click on a parameter field to bring up its modulation dialog. The current modulation amount is visualized by an orange line above the green line for the parameters value.

This allows for way more complex modulations than with Phosphor 2.

@_ki & @NoiseFloored hummm... looks like all the parameters are exposed in Phosphor 2, so I can modulate pretty much all of them with apeMatrix's LFO's.

Dunno... I wasn't really using Phosphor 2 all that much to be honest. This would be the only AudioDamage plugin I passed on. And that would really bother my OCD not to have a complete set. lol ;)

I will concede it does sound better, and I do like the new layout better than the previous version. They also tend to sell for reasonable prices... so, if that's the case here... I might get it.

OK, got it. Doesn't like loading off iCloud. Local storage seems to work.

  • Haven't used this before
But I quite like this, plenty of time to test drive, might be a keeper

Anybody else finding problems with polyphony with higher release times? It doesn’t ‘note steal’ like usual and instead , for example when just doing a run up a scale, you’ll get silence every few notes until the release resets.

Edit: can’t recreate. Maybe hardware midi problems

I can hear improvements in sound as well, but the new layout is massive improvement. Unless you're only playing presets the earlier version was a real b!tch to program.

That will make it worth it to me.

Please please tell me we can zoom in on the partials now 🙏🏼

  • good synth for MPE ..and its green.. thats cool...

Thank you for cracking the case! I've been having this same problem with Quanta and Continua. Could never get microtuning working, but others said it worked fine for them. Turns out it's been icloud's fault the whole time.

  • So on the Default patch, is anyone getting a burst of Osc1 Noise on two out of every five note triggers? It happens so regularly (o o O o O) that I feel like it has to be a setting somewhere, but the mod menu is totally blank.

I have a lot of appreciation for Chris Randall’s bluntness but I don’t want to submit a report until I’m sure it’s actually an issue...

Yes, I think it’s on oscillator 2 though. I was able to get rid of it once by moving then resetting all the mods to zero, then saved that patch as default. There are still a couple kinks I’ve had with it, that being one.

@SpartanClownTide I’m also having trouble loading .tun files. Before I send a message to AD I would like to hear if you have had luck with it?

It seems file location is important. I got them loading when I moved the folder from iCloud to local storage. It definitely can work.

Ok, nice to know. I'd rather keep the files on iCloud, though.

Yes, definitely you have to keep the files on device, not iCloud

it could be but was not very specific so i didn’t read it that way, but i see it now

  • It is, I don’t want to piss the dev off. However, it’s a open beta so not sure how picky Chris is about it being showcased.

  • Is there any way to animate the partials? Seems like you can only manually manipulate them.

Nice retro sound, seems a shame that you can’t morph the sound by automating the “playing” of the partials. Ideally, directly controlling each partial, but even morphing between two sets would be nice.

  • Yoink! What a steal!

  • For any Phosphor 2 owners on the fence, the interface improvements alone are worth the price IMO. It’s much, much more responsive, especially the partial tables. Add MPE and super flexible modulation routing to the equation and this is gonna be one of my go-tos.

Was also pleasantly surprised to see that it’s a free update on desktop.

Finally, the ability to set the startup preset globally instead of having to save DAW templates is brilliant. They introduced this feature with Continua but I didn’t fully appreciate it until now.

  • Yippee!

  • Why do I love this synth so much? It’s so simple but so pleasing to play. And the sound of it is sublime, especially when using the second oscillator up an octave with lo-fi mode on.

  • The app is awesome

  • Hey @kinkujin ! Could you update the thread to let people know it’s out / maybe with the link / please

  • This might be my favorite synth from Audio Damage.
