Damn it, you are right. When I played with this this afternoon, I was just testing the modulation and oscillators with some sustained notes, I wasn’t ‘playing’ it mpe style. Shit, that sucks, have you informed them?
Can others confirm? Try this:
On the onscreen keyboard, play two notes at the same time. Slide one of your fingers but keep the other stationary. You will hear that both notes are changing pitch, this is wrong. As an mpe synth, the stationary finger should maintain the same pitch, only the pitch of the moving finger should change. On seaboard it sounds even worse, it’s completely ‘broken’ yes. I’m sure it will be fixed soon though.
@Gavinski confirmed
Thnx, email sent
Hey sir, what do you mean with the „lo-fi mode on“? Haven’t seen or overlooked that mode/button/switch/icon
Thanks!
@david_2017 it means, for one thing, press the little space invader symbols under the oscillators
Chris Randall's tutorial for this is excellent, well worth a watch

@Gavinski hey mate! Thanks for your reply and even more for the video headsup!
I hope I will be able to watch it tonite
Thanks mate
Actually I did when beta testing. But good to insist anyway
Two issues I'm seeing:
1) I can pretty consistently crash Phosphor when loading a TUN file.
In AUM, when Phosphor is first loaded and I try to import a TUN file, Phosphor crashes; not just the instance that was loading the TUN file, but all instances open in the host.
After I “reload” the crashed AUs, Phosphor can open and use the same TUN file fine. As well, I can load TUNs into other AU instances open in the session, or even AU instances added after the crash, and they behave correctly as well.
Here's the weirder part. The issue seems to decrease over time.
E.g. at first, every time I cleared a session or loaded a different session and loaded a new instance of P3 it would crash when loading a TUN.
Then, after a bit I could clear sessions and load a new instance of P3, load a TUN and it would be fine.
But if I quit and restarted AUM, P3 would crash loading a TUN.
Then, after a bit, I could restart AUM and P3 would be fine.
Now, the issue only shows the first time after I reboot my iPad.
BTW, not just an issue in AUM, it was crashing in apeMatrix as well; although, weirdly, it never crashed in Audiobus and didn't crash in the standalone.
2) the built-in keyboard frequently doesn't pitchbend. This is now the issue I'm seeing more frequently. Haven't been able to determine when this does and when it doesn't work. This issue I've seen in the standalone as well as the AUs
As the coffeeshops are closed...
For what it's worth I really like it
I really like it, it's like a spicey synth.
I was wondering if anyone has a workaround for the modulation window closing when the in-app keyboard is played.
For example, lets say you want to adjust the LFO depth on a parameter. I double tap on the parameter to open the window, then adjust the depth of the LFO. As soon as i touch one of the keys of the internal keyboard, the modulation window closes. That means that if I want to make further adjustments to the LFO depth, I have to reopen the modulation window. Every. Single. Time. This issue makes sound designing tedious.
Am I missing something? Hope so!
Thanks.
Edit: Continua does this too. Goodness.
There is a tiny latch button on the KB, lower left, greenish color.
Could help for some situations, but not if you are checking envelopes or other note triggered mod sources.
Not to mention the fact that mpe has still not been fixed on this yet...
There’s a bit of a pattern here unfortunately
Owning pretty much all their apps, I'm sadly aware of that.
They are 'working on it', but it was quite the oversight to release an mpe synth that doesn't have working mpe in the first place. I don't understand it, they make great apps, why such sloppiness when it comes to things like this...
I was so close of canceling this purchase! It’s gone from my iPad and I’m not missing it.
Ah, hallelujah! Mpe... Finally... Working. Hopefully
Quick test: MPE seems to be working but modulation is not possible to a 100%. So if I want to control Osc 1 amplitude with aftertouch (say) I will never get 100% of volume, I think max is 60%.
I just don't get why?
Is the ADSR sustain set at 60 by any chance?
Good point. I will check later
Yet another MPE app with no MPE presets. What a fucking surprise.
@sclurbs Is that why none of them except the goddamn default preset seem to be MPE for me even though MPE is turned on? Audio Damage often do this, such a load of bullshit, seriously....
Seems a few of them are, but they are scattered amongst all the non-mpe ones. So tired of underwhelming mpe experiences because devs just couldn't really give a shit. I'm so cynical when it comes to getting mpe synths now
The Red Means Recording ones are all mpe, it seems 👍
Changing sustain level doesn't change anything. Still can't fully modulate with aftertouch - I haven't tested other sources.
Not possible to reset a value in the mod section by double tapping. Difficult to set to wished value.
I'm not in the mood of further testing, sorry. Giving up.
