Nice, yeah, sending Fugue Machine into an arp is one of my favorite things! That's the setup I used for this live set from many years ago: https://youtube.com/watch?v=6zlOVKgNaoY&t=462s
Has anyone discussed how FM is kind of impossible to use on a smaller iPhone? It used to require a bit of moving the panel half off the screen and then extending the width just to get to the last playhead. But after a recent update, that is no longer possible.
It hasn't been updated in a while, so perhaps something in the host changed to not allow that. Regardless tho, it's known that it doesn't get small enough in general. What host/phone are u using?
AUM with the iPhone — I know, I know — SE.
It's tiny. But I endure because it's such a rewarding way to make music!
A way to cc the transposition bar on the right hand side?
Wow! Beyond excited about a new @Alexandernaut project! Awesome.
MIDI Record in. Remote Transposition. That is all.
GLITCH MODE
In this mode the play heads would st st st stutter during pl pl pl pl playback
independently with different speeds and stutter types.
modeled after broken tape machines
This mode would could be enabled on MIDI or imported audio files
I guess some sort of probability and or unpredictability element could be added as well
AUDIO IMPORT or enable SAMPLING capability from other apps with granular processing
In this mode Fugue machine would play an audio file as opposed to midi notes.
Like Samplr or Borderlands Granular with 4 playheads
SAMPLE FLIP
Enable Fugue machine to auto chop samples with predetermines customizable markers
Enable the app to determine key, tempo, scale of sample,
Enable app to be able to Flip sample elements with randomize button
The app would automatically rearrange the sample chops
Enable the app to time stretch, reverse individual chops
Enable user to manipulate or disrupt the heads or audio playback with touch like Samplr app
Enable app with basic sampler functions truncate front and end, chop, normalize, reverse, etc.
Audioshare and files app support for file import/ export
All 4 channels should be able to export independently
Multiple audio outputs
Enable the app to record to multiple channels simultaneously in a compatible DAW
Not sure if fugue has this feature already but this is the NEW Trend in the Mobile Music universe.
An Undo Button could be useful
Please ...is there?
1. A way to undo/redo
2. A way to play and record midi data, rather than step input
Thanks...
Clearly, the developer is having priority with his other work. Being a long-time programmer, I know, some of these requested features do not take much time/effort. Certainly not 2+ years of long wait (the last update was on 18 Oct 2019).
@sujoybose77 what DAW / host are you using? If it lets you chain midi plugins, just putting the arp after Fugue Machine in the chain should do. I just tested in NS2 and it is indeed a good tip!
@Alexandernaut
I forever been wishing that Fugue machine had it’s parameters exposed for external modulation / midi control.
Me too. Coding wise I have no idea how complex something like that is to implement but I’m of the opinion everything should have every parameter exposed. I probably wouldn’t use every single one but having the option to do it is an increasingly important factor for me. Even the Transposer bar on the right side. It would be way cool to be able to cc its position with stepbud. Always wanted to do that.
Yes, exactly this. It'd be a dream for live performance!
