@egobeats, I’ll see when I get some time for new tutorials. Another thing that can help are sample motif files which show the settings that can be used for different music styles. You can find some here:

@lukesleepwalker, really glad to hear that. Simplifying bass movement was exactly the goal.
Thanks for your appreciation of the app @audiblevideo and for your review. ✌️🙏
@azul3D_Apps, I like Piano Motifs a lot, thanks. Have been using on my iPad and I am trying out some of my current workflows on Logic Pro on MacOS, should I expect Piano Motifs to work on Mac in Logic Pro and/or any tips/cautions? Just interested in what the state of things are so I focus my time most productively ... Thanks
Another example using the new Slash Bass feature, this time with an arpeggio accompaniment.
The motif file is in the description of the video if you’re interested.
Hi @danm, Piano Motifs works on a Mac as an AUv3. I know it works on a Mac in other Hosts (e.g. Drambo) but can't confirm Logic Pro, since I don't own it. In the past there have discussions about how MIDI routing in Logic Pro isn't straightforward or ideal. Maybe someone that uses Logic Pro on a Mac can chip in.
Fantastic update.
Thank you for all of your work.
Seriously man, PM is stellar. My absolute tippity-top midi generator. It's the most musically sound generator imo and the controls are just mind blowing.
You could have easily made the last few dozen updates as another app entirely, but your dedication to making PM perfect is one that we all appreciate. You deserve the praise, the tips and the awesome reviews.
Thank you for the updates, and your commitment to the community. You always engage and support and have elevated iOS music production.

Sounds really nice! That new feature getting lots of work also already…
@timfromtheborder, lovely track! Thanks for sharing.
✌️🙏
Thanks so much @egobeats, that means a lot. So glad to hear you find the updates add great value to the app. I am very grateful to this community which has always been very supportive and inspiring.
A new version of Piano Motifs (v4.107) is now available. What's new in this version:
• Added a Mode for the Experimental Accomp Style. You can now choose a less than, an equal, or a greater than option for the value specified in the Every picker (how often a note is played). This will allow for constantly evolving note sequences.
• Improved Voice Over Accessibility. More UI elements have this feature now.
If you are enjoying Piano Motifs please consider leaving a review in the App Store. Every review helps others discover the app, ensures the app is fairly represented, and supports future development.
Enjoy!

A new version of Piano Motifs (v4.108) is now available. What's new in this version:
• New Canon Accomp Style. When you choose this style, the accompaniment will follow the same notes of the melody delayed by one bar and one octave down. The resulting motif is a two voice canon. Please note that because the canon algorithm determines the notes in order to maintain the canon structure, some settings such as Programmed Chord Progressions and Melody Constraints may conflict with the canon rules and will be overridden.
An example of this new feature can be found here:

@azul3D_Apps
Brother, you have been so good to us. We’ve watched this grow exponentially all as free updates. It’s completely packed with variations. I can’t think of a single other app that has been pampered, curated, and given freely as much as piano motifs. Truly a gem and blessing. btw adding canon is super helpful for glitch programming. Really digging it- it adds that repeat but varied ... so helpful.
Really lovely stuff…
Thank you.
Thanks again Fernando ❤️
Yes, I'm very behind on checking out most of these modes, but I got a few really lovely canons out of this. Fernando, thanks for all your work on this app!
@egobeats, what a creative use of the new feature 😎 !
@oscillotus, hopefully this adds to your creative arsenal ✌️
Hi Gavin ( @Gavinski ), great to hear you got some nice canons. I already saw you put them to good use. Thanks for all your support on this app's journey 🙏.
Canon option is pretty cool and gives very different result than the usual, opening up for some different approach. Thank you!
@azul3D_Apps another lovely cannon. Feat @Rob_Jackson_Music Dynasinth
Last can0n example I’ll post. I absolutely love it…
One of the best apps on the entire store, thank you for so many amazing updates.
Thanks @Pxlhg, the Canon Accomp Style algorithm deviates a little from the other melody generation algorithms in the app. Hopefully it can open a different direction in your creations. ✌️
@egobeats Nice 😎! Great to see you making such good use of the new feature! I have many of @Rob_Jackson_Music 's apps but don't have DynaSinth, need to check it out.
@justaglove, thanks for your kind words ✌️🙏
I have added new Piano Motif sample files to the samples webpage. If you're interested check them out here:
