At the end of the day imo it’s not so much “better” moreso than personal preference…I have a lot of them and there’s other great ones but imo opinion Bias fx is still great, especially with the guitar matching and being able to load irs. If you can’t make it sound great then it’s more user short coming in my opinion. The things that missing for me is auv3 but I’m using it with an SSL 2+ interface connected to my IPad going into an Apogee interface that’s hooked up to my Mac recording straight into ProTools or Logic. If you can’t make it sound great it’s not because of the app. It has a 4.4 rating so it can’t be so bad 🤷🏽♂️
Lack of AUv3 isn’t a user shortcoming though - that alone (for me) makes most of the other apps potentially better.
Yeah I agree. That's why I think it depends what you want out of the app. For me Bias FX2 looks like might work better for live playing and sounds very good too.. 👍
I am curious. What do you like better about Bias than THU?
Sorry for late response. Personally I'm stuck on both. But since I'm putting together a hybrid pedalboard which includes an iPhone so far Bias FX ( standard) version for now, is sounding quite amazing! For me, it has to sound amazing as good as my hardware modeler. Being easy to use it's perhaps my #2 priority. I really enjoy the ease of touching the graphics, knobs etc. There's something more organic sort of speak by working this way. Although THU Overloud is also amazing in sound, the UI kind-of puts me off. I'm still setting it up though because I will use whatever sounds the best and the ease if midi rogramming is a must also. Bias FX2 so far is so easy to midi program. Midi learn is amazing in Bias FX2. I haven't tried that with THU overloud so I can't say anything negative regarding that on overloud.
