Lighten up, Francis.
Exactly
😆 Somehow I found this extremely funny, probably because shitty music is also my specialty. Thanks for making my day! 👍
A bit you say? In every thread you get Drambo as a answer. I got Drambo overload 🤢
There seems to be a misunderstanding about what Drambo is exactly. Apart from being a “groovebox” it is in fact also a powerful utility AUv3, not entirely dissimilar to Mozaic or Streambyter in scope of its potential applications. I think folks are going to need to get used to Drambo being offered as a common solution, because it is something of a visual programming environment that can do far far more than just creating instruments.
Drambo as an AUv3 doesn’t need to be complicated. Before, I used to need to use scripts to play several monosynths as a single polysynth. Now, Drambo as a midi effect can accomplish that with the “midi to poly” module. Transposing or filtering midi messages used to require scripts or dedicated apps like the mfx series. Again,, much of that can now be accomplished with the provided midi utility modules, with a higher degree of customization.
Drambo ain’t going anywhere, and it’s only getting more powerful. It’s time to start accepting it for the utility it is, and not just a modular synth / groovebox.
I could’ve written this about myself but I’m not funny enough. Hilarious.
You ‘re welcome!
Great stuff is made with a lot of crap.
Lots of crap is made with great stuff.
Drambo can fix that for you.
Of course it can. 😎
ouf can of worms... sry bout that, i do love shitty music its not about that. i just think all modules sound the same...thats fine, it is what it is,and personal verdict take it or leave it
great example of tinny tones.
btw let this thread die now plz ventilation over
You should never blame the tools.
and never underestimate the power of denial.
Let’s be real, it’s all bollocks. If you want to make songs you just buy or even pirate a daw and make songs or learn an instrument and join a band. I’ve come to believe hardware is even more bullshit than iOS. I watch hardware demos now and I’m like for fucks sake I could make these noises with £20 in apps, that I already have. No one needs any of it and all the noise about it is people justifying toys that make them feel like professionals. The conclusion still remains “so what, It’s not my life”. Let them feel like engineers while the machine constantly sells them the same thing over and over again as if it’s the groundbreaker that will finally finish a song after 10 years of waiting. Most people don’t start with this by saying “I want to learn the science of synthesis”, they just want to make songs which leads them to that, then they forget they wanted to make songs
@J_B This rant was only aimed at the countless claims that “it can be done in Drambo or Mirack” with the results sounded like shit. thats all. we all got tons of hardware and software, this is just about the irritating claims that simply are not true, dunno why ppl freak out about it (altho i could have dialed back the rant from 11 to 5 ish)![:# :#](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/grimace.png)
Nah. This is the internet. It’s all about the elevens.
True or not, it is just your opinion.
You claim your opinion is a universal truth, and insult people with differing opinions.
But you dunno why ppl freak out?
C’mon, man.
Don’t play dumb.
We are all with half written sketches by half learned machines / be chaos / make chaos
dont get personal, im not.
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. Omg dude. Best thing I have read all freaking day!!!!!!
It’s because quite frankly it actually usually can be done in either. I’m not freaking out at all, but it sounds like you don’t like the same opinion when it’s about things that you like. What I’m saying is, if you think apps sound shit wait till you search “dawless hardware jams” on youtube
I didn't watch the whole of the loopop vid, but it seemed like many of the sounds were very close, and as ppl mentioned in the comments, many of the knobs would be sensitive to even tiny differences that would make it almost impossible to set them up by sight rather than ear. Even the guy from mutable instruments chipped in saying the vcv rack equivalents were just as good as his eurorack modules. The overall impression I was left with was that, if there is a difference, and there probably isn't, often, it is definitely not enough to justify the difference in price.
Interesting thread though anyway, let's not get too personal everyone. Noob has been a good contributor here, not least with his great tracks, and he's already mentioned that he may regret overstating the case slightly.
