I started learning Modular through dRambo which was perfect for me.
I didn’t have to wade through Modular manuals and a variety of terminology that I didn’t know.
Eventually I got MiRack and the combination of dRambo and MiRack
covers Modular really well from my perspective.
Obviously it’s virtual but it saves investing in a room
full of electronics to realise that you’re not interested in Modular.

Or you realise that in your room full of modules, there's only one more module missing to achieve total happiness: The latest one.

    Lolololol

    Agreed.

One of the things I really like about the software equivalents
in regards to Modular is that we can do this with our phones.

  • mirack/Drambo and a cvpal has saved me tons of money so I like running a hybrid setup where all my audio signal processing can be analog and I don’t really need to get any modulation or sequencing modules cos those two apps and a cvpal have been pretty plentiful. I will probably get another cvpal but overall I can just get stuff like filters and effects and let the iPad worry about midi and modulation

  • I’m midway through Sarah Belle Reid’s “Learning Sound & Synthesis” online course. It’s not cheap, but it’s incredibly thorough. You get lifetime access to all the content, plus a series of coaching calls where you meet up with the rest of the cohort and ask questions, help each other. And there’s a forum where you can share ideas, get advice. I highly recommend it 😊
