Stephen Kay who developed the Karma software was just talking about developing something like this over at Korg forums, however he also mentioned that he is currently working on several other projects that need his attention.

I tweeted Retronyms about it a while back and the initial response I got was, "What do you mean by zero crossing." o_O I explained it and it went on the list of things Retronyms would consider. I really don't understand why Retronyms left it out of auto-chopping and sample editing. To me it's a basic feature that should be in there. iMPC Pro is so close to being badass, but little things like this and and export limitations reduce its utility for me. I really don't want Retronyms to go the way of Native Instruments, where it continues to release apps without perfecting/finishing existing ones.
Export to Audioshare and Open In..., specifically, rather than just iTunes or Audiocopy. The latter are the only options I was able to see. I would love to be wrong. If I could go from iMPC Pro to Sector, etc. I would be really happy.
And btw, I continue to be amazed by your participation and professionalism. Thanks again for being here!

Feel free to email, tweets aren't really the best way to get feature requests in. I'll make sure it gets added to our internal lists, too. And regarding "I really don't understand why Retronyms left it out", I bet you, for any company where this situation happens, it's because of budget. We definitely don't intentionally unfinish apps (not that I've seen while working here), it's always a matter of managing our budget and time.
I can't guarantee anything, but I'll at least take a look these other options. You are right in that those are the options we offer.
No problem.
@mana Those are consideration that I had not, err, considered, so thank you for bringing them to my attention. I had bought iMPC Pro upon release because I thought the sale was going to run out, but I think you guys should raise the price so you can add the features I need. :P
In all seriousness, I'm tempted to buy iProphet just because I know it would help you out. Thank you for being active and communicating. I promise to send an email to Retronyms with my requests, and also giving you a thumbs up for customer service. Hopefully that will count for something when it comes to your performance review or whatnot.
synth1 would be dreamy.
I'm sure this has been said before - Kong for iOS would be great. Analog and physical modelling, a sampler, velocity and position sensitive pads and I could put differently timed tape delays into the pads, among other things.
What about a IAA/AU FX similar to Waldorf D-Pole?(Picture attached).
Way back i used this as a Plug-In with PlayerPro and still love the results it gave me.
I know the Moog Filtatron is in the same category but lacking in tweakability and it really needs an update...

Not a new app request as such, but I'd love to see more new and old apps providing a low-cpu usage option for those of us on older iPad's. With new apps (rightly so) exploiting the extra power of newer iPad's, and older apps adding more whistles and bells, I'm finding my iPad 2 is starting to struggle, particularly when using AB. Even with all the existing settings turned down low I'm still getting a heck of a lot of glitches on some apps, so a user-friendly 'lite' button would be great, automatically switching off those whistles and bells that us older fellahs either can't, or don't want to use.
It's disappointing when a new app I like (e.g. Spacevibe) states iPad3 or above required - I'm sure it could be slimmed down to keep those of us who can't afford to replace our iPad every couple of years happy and glitch free.
Korg Mono/Poly. Why didn't that ever happen? I thought it would eventually.
The B2 by 2C Audio, I know I am probably dreaming but if it was possible to port this to the iPad, I would gladly swap every single music App that I own to achieve its incredible sound. the blurb says "B2 is a modular dual-engine, non-linear spatial processor featuring built-in harmonic distortion and flexible dynamics" whatever that means, it is without a doubt the best sounding effect I have ever used, If I could afford a new MacBook I would run B2 instead of the iPad for live gigs. I only discovered the OSX application a couple of months ago and wished I had known about 2C Audio sooner, if you have not tried it check it out. I am not affiliated with any music development, Just clutching at straws hoping some app developer could attempt to replicate these sounds.
@banjofran Sounds amazing. How much is it for the Mac please?
This is from the site about the cost: "B2 is priced at $249.95. You may optionally add all four B2 Preset Expansions to your order for a package price of $299.95. This saves you $50 compared to purchasing all Preset Expansions separately."
That's expensive for me but I was curious I tried the trial and It does sound quite nice.
Thanks @firejan82. Realise I could have looked that up myself.
Bit expensive for me too. And inconvenient for me to have it on a computer.
No problem. I wouldn't mind having it on my laptop but I am already spending too much money on the apps for what is essentially just a hobby for me.
Korg Kaoss Pad
@Goozoon said:
Maybe I am dumb but is that not what iKaossilator on my iPad is?
Well, I've been having so much fun with my old Korg Electribe ES-1 lately that I really do wish Korg would release an iPad version of the ES-1 and make it little more 'modern' similar what they did with iElectribe a few years ago, maybe even an iPad version of the forthcoming hardware Electribe Sampler?
@Samu said:
That would be brilliant!
@Goozoon said:
I've got the mini Kaoss Pad but haven't used it much, particularly since Turnado turned up - probably the best effects unit ever.
has no iKaossilator nor Turnado (i understand ikaoss is Kaossilator Pro, not a effect Pad version)
@Goozoon said:
Yes the iKaossilator is probably closer to the hardware Kaossilator Pro than the Korg Kaoss Pad which is a hardware effect. Turnado is probably closer to the Kaoss Pad Quad as you can control a whole bunch of effects at once.
Hi dear developers, I have 2 requests. One that is so obvious, I'm still wondering why it hasn't been done so far - copyrights perhaps?... - and that is an "iProphet" emulation of the mighty Prophet-5, the presets of which could be loaded into the real thing, much like NI's Pro-53 VSTi (I know the actual iProphet emulates the Prophet VS, which is a totally different beast).
Second, I would dearly love to see the Ensoniq ESQ-1 and/or SQ-80 (and again, the presets could be loaded into the real thing, much like Siegfried Kullmann's amazing SQ-8L VSTi).
In a perfect world, there would be an app for every single landmark vintage synth. Look at how many people use the iMini
I realise I've become a hybrid virtual/hardware synth user lately - actually a bit more on the virtual side when it comes to playing live, because the stuff I need to carry around is so much lighter.
In other words, I'd stick to hardware at home and studio, and take the iPad onstage instead.
An app that can backup all of my samples, synth presets, song files, all into a single cloud based location.
It would need to be configured for each synths patch location, each daws audio and song folders etc....but doing this setup once is better than going to the individual locations each time I want to backup.
Caustic has an FTP server. Because of this I can access all Caustic files and swap back and forth between Dropbox. It would be nice if all apps had that capability.
More AU apps

Chord pads could have 3 areas, or 3 modes determined by single or double finger touch, so you can play the chord as a block chord, broken/arpeggiated determined by movement ( as in the playing area of drum jam) and an auto arpeggiated area, the chordal accomp would be much more interesting and expressive.
I agree with schrodinger, you need to have the level of control over melodic playing offered by thumbjam, with finger control of vibrato, tremolo, and or filter sweep, (that also adds to expression in animoog).
Control over assignable midi outs would be great
+1,000,000
Yup I'd like on of those too. With auto sampling built in.
More Chordion 2 ideas
A global stop start that turns arpeggiator and drum machine one/ off together
That also controls Patterning
Rock solid integration with Patterning, including a bass line feature and more flexibility in the arpeggiator, more rhythmic variety/swing etc
Have internal sounds and MIDI out available together
More chord and scale choices, a la chordpolypad and thumb jam
Sample import or SF for drum machine and the melody/chord instruments,
