  • Not wasting any time on this review, eh Doug? That's great that you can get these out so quickly. I bought it late last night and really like it as well.

  • Looks great Doug. Thanks.

  • Not to start up anything… But, why start a new post for this? Seems to take away from the discussion app's discussion thread that was already running?

I think it is because Doug likes it so much. If I thought that an app deserved a limelight I'd make sure I'd be putting it in the prime spot. You can always bump the thread that you're interested in so it stays up the list.

It's all good… Fair enough… Bugs me when multiple threads start running on the same topic at the same time. :-) Will go have my morning coffee and a few advils LOL

As always, thanks, Doug, for all the great videos!

  • Doug always starts a new post for his videos. and often links to the video in existing threads.

  • I know what you meant tho @dj8 Doug has a bit of a fan club around here, you don't want to mess with them ;)

  • Wow, looks pretty cool. Thanks for the review.

  • Thanks, Doug! :)

  • Got it! Just been playing for a few minutes, and unintentionally produced a patch that sort of plays Baba O'Reilly like patterns, just by moving two fingers around the screen - amazing!

  • Why 2 threads on the same topic? Silly.

  • Silly, really? @Ned I already moved on from this. But since you feel the need to throw insults around...

In general, this has come up before... Usually redundant threads are shut down. I missed that Doug's videos tend to open 2nd threads on same topics... Hadn't noticed that before... Does seem appropriate to bring notice to his vids, which might otherwise go under noticed within a discussion thread. But, in general, double threads should be shut down, IMO.

Looks like you're relatively new to the forum... Seems that lately there's a little too much snarky posting being passed on as earnest discourse.

  • I also find double threads iritating, however I always post a seperate thread for the videos and mostly tag the video onto the existing thread, most of the time the important thread elements stay on the main thread. But having a video thread makes it easier for future referance.

In general the video threads dont generate a discussion, unless its the only thread for the app. An example may be that someone is just looking for a demo of an app, they come on find what they want straight away because it always starts with...Video...blah blah..then if they are into the app they may leave a comment and then see what else there is read..and visa versa

  • Ok, thanks, Doug, for weighing in…. It seems like a pretty clear consensus: double-posts in general, bad; double-posts to highlight related media/videos, good!

I opened this can of worms, can I put a lid on it now? :-)

  • I was thinking about starting a thread about the Earhoof threads.
    Then I thought again....

  • Keep making separate threads for your videos. Makes it all a bit easier to see/find. Ok of to watch this one :) Looks like an interesting app for sure..

seperate threads for videos are ok,seperate threads for songs (easier to find,eh?) not.Yeah ;-)

I think posting in both the "official" thread and make a new thread works just great. (I know what you're getting at tho, but please just stop, your obsessional behavior might get a wee bit silly eh?;)

Good informative video as usual, I'll probably pick this one up today!

  • @ChrisG, somehow I KNEW that word was going to make its way back into this thread LOL

  • edited March 2014

@ChrisG: Obsessional behavior because i dont care about all the songs that crashes my browser when i want to read something useful in a thread about an app?I have no idea who put you into the positiion you might think you have but please step back a bit...

  • @Crabman Please stop derailing threads.

  • @soundtestroom it might be sporting of you to add a link to the original thread if one exists.

  • Purchased. I'm really really liking this one too. What kinda struck me first was how well laid out the UI is, very simple and fast despite it having quite a few parameters to mess around with. So many kudos the dev for the brilliant UI design.

Thats what I do all the time, this is what the problem is, some people think its pointless to have the video on its own and in the main thread

  • Do what you do Doug.

  • Doug.... Thanks for all the videos that you do!! I will send you my credit card statements from now on :-)

Ok real question... how do I extract the recording I made inside it with out going to Itunes sharing?

  • edited March 2014

I think most of us agree that dedicated threads for your video reviews are great. So let's just ignore the haters and move on with our lives :)

  • I didn't do a very good job putting that lid back on… :-)

@jesse_ohio, haters: whoa, now… this is exactly what I'm talking about. Why this need to jump to such extremes, so quickly? Sometimes it starting to feel like I'm at (or reading) Fox.news discussion board, trying to defending Obamacare or some similar other great last stand text fight…LOL

Really the need to throw in the little cheap shots here and there? Are things really that bad for some of us on the forum?

I thought there was some double-thread action going on. Called it…. I got called, due to the whole video thing… Seemed to be cleared up…

But, no, it's better to drape ourselves in the drama for a few dozen posts, I guess? When I first became a working musician 30 years ago, one of my mentors told me, "Remember, the only people who gossip and bicker harder and nastier than bored housewives, are musicians." A little sexist, I guess, but point taken...

  • As the OP on the original thread, I don't give a f$&k if he starts a new thread. Nice video as always Doug.
